^ ei, I think I'm gonna go back and correct those spelling errors. Remind me to type big things like that in word next time. And I meant Utopia. [xx(]
and it's not just that we don't want those countries to use it against us, but these countries, specifically, have ties, or more than likely have ties to terrorist groups. And Terrorists really want those nukes in thier hands. And I wonder what they'll do with those? And, Iran wants to build a Nuclear Powered, Power Plant or something like that. Even if their means are "civil" some people in that area could still use some of the stuff that are produced at those power plants to make a "dirty"/nuclear bomb

That's due to the climate. If you lived where it was 90 degrees every day it most likely would be made of wood. Period. Just like in all the warm parts of the world.

Good back-pedaling. Nobody said Hitler didn't lose and nobody said nazi's ruled the world. All that was stated is that the americans didn't "kick his ass" as you so eloquently put it.

Stupid kid...

well, I believe it was a group effort. But, man that guy must have been crazy if almost all of his wives committed suicide. I think his killed one of them right before he killed himself. But I may be wrong, she could have committed suicide as well.

yup- your wrong. hitler never married. it's rumored that he did have a maraige ceremony right before he killed himself but that's unknown. but he and his "wife" killed themselves both so they could die together, and because they both knew they'd die anyway.. so they did it to avoid future pain. hitler never killed his wife.

Laughing at oneself is a sure sign of discomfort. "Maybe if I laugh with them I don't have to think they are laughing at me."

Whatever it takes to make you feel accepted. Ignorance is bliss.

Plus you are 15... need I say more.

Hitler did marry Eva Braun right before they committed suicide. It wasn't a marriage under the church or anything, but it was a simple ceremony, if you could call it that.

I know we didn't kick Hitler's ass, per se, but we sure as hell did kick Nazi Germany's ass in the war. I dunno what you're talking about MOP, but America did pretty well against the German war effort in World War II. We had our troubles in Africa and Italy right after we got into the war in '41, but after we got the home front mobilized and once we won over the skies, the war was ours. The war in the Pacific didn't go over QUITE as well, but again, once air superiority was achieved, we progressively fought our way until we were on Japan's doorstep.

So, Paco was more correct than I think you'd be willing to admit; we eventually came to "kick hitler's ass", as he ELOQUENTLY put it.

I've already explained why I IM you from so many screennames. It isn't because you don't answer some of my messages. Also, I see that the meaning of my post isn't making it through. I'm just going to delete it now because it's pointless now.

[lol] You would block my screennames without even reading the messages at times. This site is starting to bug me, so I quit.

Just, no! I think youvebeen watching too many retarded American war films...in other words America comes in kicks everyones ass put in a romantic love affair to spice things up, put in some huge explosions and bang, yougot yourself a movie for a generation of young Americans to beleive in. I originaly come from the South coast of England and all of mygrandparents have fought in WWII. My Granddad has told me many stories on how he would sit at the top of Beachy head(cliff) sitting on a flak gun, shooting down V2 rockets and any army plains, and the reality is that most days you would not be able to shoot a single thing down....unlike war movies tend to beleive.

I personaly would love to hear the story on WWII from a Germans point of view and what not....anyway

1. Saving Private Ryan is the best war movie
2. You can shoot alot of stuff down back then. Get alot of shots onto something and put a hole in the gas tank..BOOM. If there's a leak in the tank, one more spark from a bullet will blow the whole thing up. Now with the fast rounds they had back then this all happened in less then a second or two.

Not sure how many WWII vets we have as members here ... let me check for you. [;)]

As far as the rest of what you said .... well .... since you were barely alive during the first Gulf War, I am not sure how much of a history buff you can really consider yourself to be.

But, in a war that America was attacked first and we responded, I am guessing that was a dumb war too, eh?

WAIT A MINUTE!!!! STOP THE PRESSES!!!!

We were attacked in WWII by Japan, and ended up kicking Germany's tail .... AND THEN we were attacked in 2001 by Afghan morons and ended up kicking Iraq's tail too. Coincidence? I THINK NOT!

Morale of the story: Awake a sleeping giant, and everyone loses. [B)]

Either way, be happy you are not speaking German right now Edge. Had the US solely fought with Japan and not engaged with Germany YOU would be speaking German right now pal. Your nation had NO allies strong enough to help you in the 40's, except the very nation you continue to bash. Just give your mouth a rest man, your view on history is not only distorted, but as holy as swiss cheese.

Not sure, those Russians seems pretty tough to me. I certainly wouldnt want to mess with a Russian. However this is still something i dont understand about WWII, involing Pearl Harbour. Japan come in and destroy and criple most of the US's main ships and kill thousands of soldiers which was a majour tactical defeat, America then retaliates by dropping a nuke on Japan (i cant spell Horishima so i wont try) and kills thousands of innocent civilians (just like 9-11) Was there any point to this attack than just to provoke terror throughout Japan therefore making America the terrorists?

PACoasterRider...if you shot a cars gas tank the chances of it exploding are minimal...this is once again hollywood films gone crazy. The truth is that the explosive or flammable range for gasoline is about 1.4 to 7.6 % gasoline vapor in air. Outside of these limits, gasoline cannot be ignited. A large amount of gasoline in an enclosed can/engine usually will not form an ignitable mixture since the vapor concentration will be too high and hence no explosion. America did not drop the nuke until 4 years after the war had been waged.

Pearl was in 1941, Hiroshima was in 1945. It was not like the next week that we dropped it, it was after a long war and this was to end it. Japan had been given more than enough chances to surrender as we had them beat, and still they continued, so Emperor Hirohito got what he asked for, the death of his countrymen. Then, (here is my heart burn) ... we go back to Japan and rebuild it. Geesh, what a waste of money.

Just, no! I think its actually from having studied World War II history in various classes (classes soley based on World War II history...) throughout high school and college. I've done quite a bit of studying/research on the war and the years before and after it, so don't chalk it up to "he's seen too many movies" if you don't even know who I am, Edge. I agree that movies tend to stretch and.... cook... the facts (i think the actual number is around 911 degrees Farenheit), but you totally missed the mark with your accusation... sorry.
