I used to play to original and loved it more than the other two because it was more about managing a park that building a bunch of fantasy coasters from the ground up. the gameplay was classic and far more addictive, even if the scenarios were sort of easy...

I have to say RCT3, there's a few glitches but I like all the new features.

Yeah, and you barely had any options too.

i guess my opinion doesn't count because that game got me hooked on coasters in the first place, so i'm naturally slanted towards the original[lol] i played that thing for sooooo long and just never got as hooked on rct2 for various reasons.

I really like RCT2 because it has the more upper view of things. Its not 3D and its not RCT were everything is simple. It allows you to do more.

I like RCT2 better. I mean, its soo customizable as far as the rides and senery go. Also, it works on just about any compuiter....

RCT1 may have been what turned me into the enthusiast I am today, and it was great back then, but that's only back then. Today's standards are alot higher and so are mine, lol.

RCT2 and 3 are the best IMO. Hard to decide which one though, one has more options on one side and is 3d, the other has tons more options on the other side and is 2d.

If RCT2 and 3 were crossed to make one game, I tell you it would be a revolution. Throw in some NL and SM and you've got an unbeatable game. If only it could happen. (ARRGGH!!!!! STUPID GP!!!!! "CAUSE WE RETARDS DON'T WANT TO SPEND TIME FIGURING OUT HOW TO USE THE CAD SYSTEM! EVEN THOUGH IT'S 10 TIMES BETTER THAN THE STUPID POINT AND CLICK SYSTEM WE CURRENTLY HAVE!!!!!")

*sigh...

Lol, don't mean to call all of them retards, just the ones who are against RCT3 from turning into an awsome advances CAD system.

No wait... an option to have either CAD style building and pre-fabricated peices options.

CAD: for the experts
Pre-fabricated: for the New users

But new users can use the CAD, and experts can use the Pre-fabricated.
It would rule all!

Haven't I've mentioned that before? Lol, it'd be funny if some stubid reviewer tried the NL style (along witht eh crappy default system still present) and complain about it being "hard to use", and act as if it was better not to have one at all.

*sigh... People these days...

I think rct1 is better because you can make profit form rides AND entrance... rct3 defenety not because the 3d really ****s, rct2 is nice but it could have been a lot better

RCT1 was the original and best IMO. RCT2 was great too, but nothing beats the oringinal, RCT2 just had some improvements and new rides, coasters and scenery. RCT3 sucks, and I will never play it, unless they make it for macs, even then its iffy.

the 3d really ****s

It does what now? Please dont tell me you felt the need to put *s for the word sucks. That isn't even a curse word, i mean if you wanted to put ;the 3d really shits' of something you might want to put stars in, but what is the point? Your still saying the word but just put [r] stars in it.

I liked RCT2 best, due to the fact it had the stack objects button. RCT3 is good but really it isn't great. If i had some kinda super computer which a processor capable of handling more than 10 rides running in the game, i might possibly like it, but for pure awesomeness it has to be RCT2

I knew it was bad news when I found out that Atari had taken the RCT games over.

That was when things started to go downwards with the serie.

RCT2 hands down. You were able to do so much with scenery and build great structures, where as in RCT3 you could build structures, but i was very disappointed with the amount given. RCT2 had a wide array of items for scenery, so i figured when RCT3 came out, there would be twice as many, but that wasnt the case at all......yes there were more, but some of the basics werent even there. Coasters were still pretty much the same except for the fact that they threw in a couple extra types of track pieces, and those werent even that great.

i love RCT2. it is the best. i like RCT1 but the second obviously beats it, though sometimes its fun to play the original for old times sake. lol. i got the demo of RCT3 and as soon i loaded it up i knew i would never buy it because...
1. the people are terrifying. they scared me so bad...
2. the coaster track is not curved it has angles in it which told me the 3D was bad.
3. the trains and cars were not realistic. the inverted coasters seats look like padding on a wall. theres no place for your butt!!.
4. the whole thing was a small, TINY, step up from sim theme park. the overall environment was wrong to me. stupid atari... all they were doing was following everyone else....... right into the sewers

Lol at Edge, i thought the same thing, but you got to say it first, which really ****s!

Anyway, i voted for RCT2, because in retrospect it is by far my favourite, but i can remember when i first played it, after having been addicted to RCT1, i thought it was really quite crap. RCT3 just didnt appeal to me at all, still doesnt. For pure nostalgia, RCT 1 is really the best, but i'm gonna say RCT 2 is my favourite.

I would like RCT3 best if it had all of the scenery and objects of RCT2, but since Atari has gone cheap on us, I am staying with RCT2.
