I notice sometimes that people see Jerks in my ride.
What are actually jerks? cause they say the track is smooth and that there are some jerks in the ride.
Thanks

a "jerk" is when your ride is jerky. it's basically a fast transition or a large bump that throws the ride to one side (up, down, left or right). they can give high and sudden g spikes and they wouldn't be very comfy on a real ride. it's basically a fast change of direction that you may or may not expect.

Imagine you going down a road in the car and all off a sudden you hit a bump, that would be considered a bump, or it could be that the entrances to your hills are too tight

Jerk = lack of lead in or lead out.
Bump = same thing, but less abrupt/extreme

Also can be caused simply by having a con roll jerk. Which is where you have a Vertex thats banked and one handle is much longer than the other.

o------O-----------------------o

If you had a vertex that looked like that AND it was banked, it would more than likly give you a jerk or feel like it snaps to one direction. This is why I encourage the use of C2/Equal Handles whenever possible. For hills and stuff thats not banked, you can get away with having handles like that. But for more corners and banked areas, because the handle lengths help control the banking, its essential to keep them "close" to even, not quite, but not grossly different.

Riding from the rear (in NL of course) is the best way to see these, IMO ... the trains in front of you are a dead giveaway to minor (or major) imperfections in the design.

When I first saw this, I thought you were talking about people being jerks in NL, but now I realize that your talking about riding women in thier rear.[approve]
