Rammstein, Decapitated, Arch Enemy, Slayer, Lamb Of God....those were the bands on the last compilation album that I put together so I guess them [:)]

If you were talking about one particular artist, as in person, then I guess I would have to say Angela Gossow (is thats even how you spell it hahaha) of Arch Enemy. But also John Williams, he did loads of the Star Wars music, not that I'm a fan of Star Wars, but a lot of the music is powerful and yeah [:)] I'm quite into some classical music aswell as death metal you see [:D]

does it have to be a single musician or can it be a group?

If it is single musicians I would say mine are Danny Carey (Tool), David Silveria (korn) and Travis Barker (Blink 182). The bands those 3 are from are not my favorite musicians though. Those 3 are just the 3 people who inspired alot of my drumming.

Considering Edge himself put Zeppelin and Metallica on there, I'm sure it doesn't matter whether you put single artists or bands...

For me, Dave Matthews Band, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, and The Beatles are some of my top favs, but I also really like Cream and anything Eric Clapton, AD/DC, some Rush, and U2 to name a few others...

Wow, big mix there DJ. Mine are:

Flea, the bassist from RHCP
Victor Wooten
Brandon Boyd and Mike Einziger, both from Incubus
Robbie Williams would u believe (!!)
The pianist in my jazz group, Tim Amann
Leonard Bernstein, he wrote the score for west side story. Amazing.

And bands wise:

Red Hot Chili Peppers
Incubus
Maroon 5
Lifehouse
Matchbox 20

Lol, i've got loads, but they all influence me in different ways. Flea and Wooten cos i'm a bassist, obv. and Boyd and Robbie Williams 4 there songwriting ability etc.

I like old and new music, so I will separate it out.

60's - 80's: Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, David Bowie, Judas Priest, Van Halen (DLR years), Black Sabbath.

Present Day: Three Doors Down, Disturbed, Queens of the Stone Age.

I also like some country music and soul/R&B, but i'm mostly a rock and roll person.

YC is cool, I dont like their music much but they happen to have lived near me a few years back, before they got to be big they lived in some apartment building about 10 mins from my house, and they happened to be in the room next to one of my friends, so he had the fortune of being good friends with the band, who are very friendly people if I do say so myself.
