i bought a 128 mb radeon 9600 video card, when i run wooden coasters i get really low frame rates, but that might be normal... (as high as 100, but as low as 10) anyone know what i should be getting? or how to optimize to get a better framerate, i got a 2 gig computer with 512 of ram... thanks........

Is that a mac, cause im gettin a 9800 card for christmas. Anyway, make sure your software is up to date, and configure the settings in the simulator.

apparantly some radion cards are really laggy with NL 1.5 GO check for video driver updates. Or maybe you need to install some.

i think i tried that... when i switched from 1.1 to 1.5 it did go a little faster, BUT, where can i find the latest, oem driver or whatever, it just seems like no limits isn't as complicated as the benchmark test i ran, but it's slower? i would think that doubling my card speed would help, but it's not much different than the 64 i had......

Also keep in mind that the Video card is not the only thing to help framerates, as only with a large amount of bus and memory can your Graphics Card perform to its fullest, ask Shortkid about optimal customization.

Anyways, im assuming your on XP, lemme know if your not. It also depends on your CPU speed and RAM. Right click on my computer-->properties. itll tell you the speed of CPU and MB of the RAM. Give me both por favor. gracias.
