I don't see that it does... he used gay in a negative term and then made a very straight comment about women....

its not hypocracy at all.... THAT would have been something like "Reading is gay(negative)... I love gay people (positive)."

I don't get what you're saying coaster lol but the points that hes "a slut" (which is usually a term reserved for women), and "he looks at women as objects, not people" really have no significance to proving it was a hypocritical sentence.

Oh, and to play devils advocate, reading "pleasure" books isnt pointless. If you have a good outlook on it, they can be just as fun as a movie or tv.

I don't think he really used the term gay as to say that anyone who reads is gay, but using the term as an adjective..

hm... you seem to be missing my point.. i'll think about how to explain it better and get back to you [;)]

i just thought of it!

he's saying this : i hate sexuality and i'm closed minded
then saying: i love sexuality!

that's hypocritical!

I see what you're saying :)

I think (and this may totally be off the wall but...) you are misinterpreting the meaning of the word "sexuality". The sexuality he expresses in the "womanizing" comment would be defined (dictionary definition) as "Concern with or interest in sexual activity" whereas the "gay" comment in regards to sexuality would be defined as "The condition of being characterized and distinguished by sexual character".

So, I see what your point is, but can you see what mine is? I don't really want ot debate it anymore lol, we're both right, really. :)

oh yeah, i can definatly see your point.. you're talking about reading hehe, i'm talking about his usage of the word "gay".. and i'm pretty sure (99.89%) that i'm using the word "sexuality" right.. (just replace "sexuality" with the definition and you get the same thing i was trying to say) but yeah, i agree- i've debated about the gay thing probably 10 times now (i only started it twice!) and i really don't feel like doing it again lol..

- and yes, we are agreeing, but i think we're on different subjects hehe

Wo wo wo wo woooooo, slow down a bit here man, I certainly do not view women as objects rather than people, i really did just use the term "womanizing" as slang more than anything else. I love women, I love the company of women, I didn't mean just meet a girl I don't know and make out or whatever. I actually meant, talking to girls and mixing with girls in general. Maybe I was a bit vague on that, but hey I cleared it up now so lets get back on with other peoples hobbies [:)]

P.S, oh yeah, what if I am a homophobe? I hate people who are "P.C." I mean, for gods sake, its like people don't have a right to an opinion anymore. "I hate gays" "oooooh no you can't say that blaa blaa blaa blaa" what if i don't like gay people, why should they care??, sorry, went a little into rant mode again, not good. That wasn't dirceted at you either coaster992001, you have been pretty diplomatic about the whole thing in the past which i respect, its just people who are P.C, that piss me off .....yeah carry on with the topic [lol]

I agree with Coasters992001, I do not udnerstand why there are so many homophobes. Say one day I said I am going to be a heterophobe. Its as mean and dumb as being a homophobe so whats the point. I really do not understand why people who are "straight" just continue with there lives and just do not discuss the issue over gays. If they are happy, why make another person sad or angry? I think it comes down to the fact that "homophobes" are just people who are either gay and can not accept that fact, or are unhappy with themselves in a way. Thats just my explanation.

You gotta look at both sides of the argument, some people aren't being insensitive, they just generally dont feel comfortable in the prescence of gays. Back on topic, another hobby of mine would be just hanging around with friends, something I do way too much alately lol

holy crap gouldy! that's really good! lol..

and to everyone who commented on homophobia: you're all right, but it basically boils down to the homophobic person haveing a lack of knowlege in the area of homosexuality. they look at gays as if they were different and don't understand that we're all the same. it's all about education in that particular subject.

lol.. debating seems to be one of my hobbies too [:)] now back on subject!
