latley i've been bored as crazy, and don't feel like building a track in NL. I do however want to make some supports. If anyone want's me to put them on a track, just PM me or IM at StormRunnaHP. I prefer building B&M Floorless, Twister, Stand-up, and Intamin supports, and i think im best at them.
The people who make the ride should really make the supports aswell, because they are just as much a part of the ride as the track, people ask me to make the supports and stuff all the time, I usually say no, unless I haven't got anything to do, but you really should be building your own supports, well I think so anyway.
i agree with Gouldy, but real rides aren't supported by the designer, it's an individual designer that's specalty is supports. Now when you get someone to do supports, the ride's not completly yours anymore. It's now a joint prodject, and that rating isn't 100% to the person who built the track, but sort of shared.
" agree with Gouldy, but real rides aren't supported by the designer,"
If you are talking about real life, thats false. The team that designs the track more often than not designs the supports. They know the stresses and such on the track so they would be the ones to design the support system for it using the support type the manufacturer supplies. (like B&M supports differ from Intamin that differ from vekoma etc)
I'm quite sure that I wouldn't let just anybody do supports on any of my coasters....Supports are the relaxing part of the design when trackwork is done and you can forget about it, no matter how bad it is...
Plus, I know the style I want to dubplicate or replicate, and I dont' think I'd let just anyone go wild with unrealistic supports.
Yeah, my problem is that I don't spend enough time on the track makeing it perfect, i always want to move onto the supports in which I'll spend hours on makeing verticle towers and 100% custom supports.
Yo Go, check your e-mail i finished. a lot of work. i sent you a sample of my new coaster which im gonna upload soon. (supports are awesome) there awesome to me at least
