Lol, dont worry I am no were near suicidal, it just gets aggravating staring at a screen for days trying to make one curved drop pumpless. How do you do it real, you never cease to amaze me. Do you use the coaster calculator at all? I would like to know how long it took you to creat Quatro as well just because im curious.

Ready? Are you sure you want to know?

3 Days. From the time I originally created the file (Oct. 12th 2004) to the final uploadable file (Oct. 15th 2004) it was at or under 3 days.

I do not use the Coaster Calculator for anything. I however, use a large combination of these things:

2 Years of understanding the beziers
2 Years of practice

Elementary
Construction Kit - Smoother + De-Pumper
Auto Heartline Generator
Purgatorium
Segment Combiner

Basically now, I build so that those tools will be best used. I build a bit differently than I used too but only because I know how those programs all work for the most part. Because of that Im able to build quickly and with some error and let those take out some of the error. I then go in and do final tweaks, run final smooths and final heartlining and bam, thats how I can do Quatro in 3 days.

nice, is there a way to get the de-pumper without paying a butt-load ($25) of money for it? I mean, I don't want to spend money out on a tool that costs as much as the game itself.

As long as u didnt save and insert the element its not stealing, because chances are its no were near identical. And Real thats not funny, I could never make a coaster that great in that short period of time. Although I dont have these things:

2 years of experience (barely 1)
2 years of understanding berziers (how do you learn more about them, I only know of them in NL which is still 1 year)

These items I have no control over of obaining whatsoever (because I am mac-based):

Elementary
Elementary
Construction Kit - Smoother + De-Pumper
Auto Heartline Generator
Purgatorium
Segment Combiner

I REALLY need a pc but a decent/good 1 is pretty exspensive 700+, and I am only 14. even with my job, i still need lunch money and money for movies or social activities (mostly covered by parents). I only bring in maybe 100 or less a month cause homework and prep school takes up alot of time. [:(]. I cant wait until I get my own credit card or some method of payment cause then I will get a pc (and keep my mac)

well, Real, if that is your real screen name, you think you can auto-depump a ride for me when I get to that part of it? Also, could you Auto-heartline it for you, I'm not sure if your aware ofit, but the program doesn't work properly on my computer, it turned out all wierd and stuff. But you don't have to, but it would be cool[pshades]
P.S, what's a Bezier? Would that also be the the nodes on the end of the nodes that you use to tweak the ride, and crap?

If it was a totally new idea, then Id credit it. If you took someones element and recreated it by hand, I would say no but I would still say something like "Element redesigned from coasterXX built by builderXX.

It just shows some courtesy to the builder as well as to others.

As for the AHG, it works on your comp, you probably didnt use the color codes correctly. Theres a manual to using it and while it can be confusing, it takes alot of trial and error to get a good desired result.

As for getting the de-pumper elsewhere, no. Theres also a very neat tool in the CK that shows the radius of the whole track, so I can spot a pump using that instantly. No need to go into the sim. But you dont have to purchase the 25 dollar one, just the 10 dollar one will do. You dont need to get the 25 dollar, thats for 3ds exports.

Nope. C-K. Coaster Calculator would be CC. The CK is the Construction Kit.

Nah, Im going to redo it tonight or tomorrow. The Zero G also needs some mod work because it pumps banking wise. Shape and radius wise, its perfect, but the banking is all off. Seems theres just some problems with the AHG i need to work around. Ill figure out a solution but getting past that Zero G will take some time.

Good thing I had 6 weeks basically. Tyrant is part of a team in the FIRST Robotics thing which is going on now for the next 5 weeks solid. He wont be doing any 3ds work till its over.

Wow, this will certainly be great when finished, I have been waiting for a Hydra Recreation, and it is safe to say it'll be done correct. Now a Silver Bullet recreation would be cool too.

Work has slowed on it as I have some other obligations, plus working towards a promotion at UPS to be a supervisor. So my NL time has been next to nothing the last week or so but it should pick up soon.

My goal is to finish before Tyrant is done with his FIRST Robotics competition which is done in about 4 weeks. However, Theres no telling. A safe "date" would be that of the week or 2 it opens, but that puts us in May.

But, if this is to be the kind of recreation I want it too be, we may have to wait that long. We will need pictures of stuff as its built and especially the final product so that Tyrant can work up his 3d and texture magic. The landscaping isnt even done so hed have a hard time doing that. Plus, Hydra is covered in about 5 inches of snow right now too :P

I had a small harddrive crash/erasing of all of my nolimits stuff. I lost quite a bit of data, something like 2 years of data and projects.

what!!! No storm runner? [wah!] that's one of those rides thats an achievement in building itself, even without 3Ds. The barrol rolls are rediculously hard to, and I wonder how you were able to do it. So hows Hyrdra coming along?

I finally got a decent Zero G. Because the AHG will not heartline the zero g properly (it reverses the rotation which is a VERY vital part of the zero g) I had to hand shape it and smooth it myself. Its not perfect and will show compared to the rest of the ride, however, it is good enough. Not perfect, but good enough.

So now I will be starting on the Cork and Cobra and hopefully I can bust those out together and after that its only the switchback, airtime hill, cork and helix and Im done. Tyrant is still in full swing with FIRST Robotics so Im still cool. But I have made progress and I did put up a picture of the new Zero G. Actually its a bit different and I may post a comparison picture tonight.

The update sounds really cool! Just a quick question, will there be accurate terraforming also? Even if I don't have NL, I'm very interested in yoru recreation.
