I will admit, I have seen Pimp My Ride a few times, and moderately enjoyed it, but I usually make it a habit to stay away from MTV altogether...

I usually dont watch it, but, I like to watch the Newlyweds with my girl. Tis a funny show, makes me feel a whole heck of alot more secure about my choice.

I havent regularly watched MTV in years though.

"Music Television" ... "Favorite show" ... seems almost like those two statements belong in another dimension far apart from each other, doesn't it??

I remember when the video for "Video Killed the Radio Star" graced my screen ... not too mention Headbangers Ball on Sat nights. Now, we have drama after nonsense "real life" drama. Almost sad that they still call it "Music Television".

THeres hardly any music to be found on the real MTV. If you want music its over at mtv2.

But I dont listen to a bit of the music thats on any of those channels, so its not of any worry.

My favorite MTV show was "Celebrity Death Match". Too bad it didn't last. As for playing music videos, there aren't many choices nowadays. VH1 has some good music, but they play the same songs over and over and over again every single day. MTV thinks that they are too cool to show music videos anymore, and it is all about making average people into steriotypical modernists. I don't listen to country or rap, so that eliminates CMT and BET for seeing videos. So, in the end, I just find my music videos on the most convenient music video source... Kazaa. Screw the music networks... they pretty much all suck now.

viva la bam is alright, nothing compared to the CKY dvd's. Much better than Jackass though.

Other than that I never watch MTV.

i honestly think mtv is the worst thing that's happened to tv. showing music videos is fine and reality shows, although annoying as hell, are fine too. but the content of the crap on mtv is just stupid and pointless. jackass and viva la bam are crappy shows that show teens that doing insanely stupid stuff is okay and more injuries in ym school (before i graduated) were result of idiots doing stuff they saw on those shows. also, the music video thing would be fine.... that is it would be if they strayed away from rap occasionally. and it's not good rap either. it's gangsta/ thug / slap the bitch and f*** then kill police and steal kind of rap. again, terrible role models. the idea of mtv is good, but they just seem to care about pointless stuipd shows. i like vh1 much better. they at least have other music categories than "rap".

Bam isn't nearly as stupid as Jackass. Imitating him would be pretty hard. I think if I successfully modified my mom's Jeep, or I got some elephants in for a party, or I built a fake castle. Wow, wouldn't want to get hurt there. The rest of the stuff he does is usually skateboard related which a bunch of idiots do regardless.

He doesn't have alligators hanging off his nipples and other crap like that which was on jackass. I am also well aware that Bam Margera was on Jackass as well. Not quite as "involved" though. The disgusting people on Jackass would have been steve-o, his gay butt buddy chris pontius (I think that's his name), Dave England and another guy or two that I'm probably forgetting. Johnny Knoxville wasn't even that bad.

The other part is if you are dumb enough to want to imitate those shows... well that shows a lot about your character. There is a difference between what you see on TV and real life. If the injuries went up in your school, just shows you have a bunch of really stupid people in your school.

VH1 has less music than MTV, these days...I don't usually go to VH1 expecting to see music. But, it doesn't really matter, because VH1 has some of the more inventive shows on tv...not the same old recycled reality shows on the major networks...the "I Love the_____" series is very funny...

I just can't stand the shows about how much celebrities spend or how great their lives are and that kind of crap...why on earth would I care to know anything about rich celebrities who spend more money in a day than most hardworking people make in a year or more...but that's a totally different topic...

Pimp My Ride
Dirty Sanchez (MTVEurope only I think. Doesn't matter, 100x better than jackass)
Viva la bam
Happy Tree friends (not really, kind of annoying but yeah)
Headbangers Ball

Reckon thats about it, don't watch any of the other shows on there, seen deathmatch a couple of times but its pretty samey. Boiling points is boring I think, pretty samey too.

Celeberty Death Match was my favorite when it was around, but since they don't have that anymore......
Pimp my ride. they put in all this pointless crap, but its still cool. I mean honestly why put a satelite dish on some ones car? If they can't pay to fix thier car up in the first place, how are they going to afford the monthly fees? but it's still nice looking at the cars.
Next is Viva la bam as its one of the only shows I've seen on MtV
last is Road Rules as thats the only thing they show on Mtv.

I saw season one and part of season two. The last time I watched it religiously was when he moved into his Castle. Since then I've seen an episode about when they went to Mardi Gras and some other episode.

This was mostly due to the fact that I always watched it in winter, and once spring rolled around I was never home. Then I just lost interest.

I think I read someone said much music in Canada is better than MTV. Well.. [lol][lol][lol][lol][lol][lol][lol][lol][lol][lol][lol]

Much Music is just a MTV wannabe forced on you by the CRTC. The only reason MM exists is because the CRTC doesn't let the US broadcast MTV in Canada.

It pisses you off that other people watch a certain TV channel?

You have some major issues if that is the case.

I have not watched anything on MTV since Fear went off the air.

It was far better when they actually showed MUSIC videos, not that music videos were all that fun to begin with.
