I'd like support for rational bezier curves, which would allow one to exactly model the rest of the conic sections (circles, ellipses, and hyperbolas, oh my!). I think it would go a long way towards minimizing pumping if used correctly.

You'll have to use elementary for now... But that's a good idea.

I really think that flat rides is the most useless idea! i mean come-on, NL is about rollercoasters!!! Flat rides as objects are fine if ur making a rec of a park
for that, u'd need multiple coasters

I like the idea of having flat rides, i think this because nearly everything in no limits has been done, therefore its going to get boring soon. So this new feature will implement a new category into the game.

Ya and sometimes you get that clanking sound on Woodies. I think that B&M's sounds need the biggest update, however it may be coming in the next update.

Pretty much everything I'd like to see has already been suggested, except for one thing:

An automatic tool which cuts terraforming when you lay track or whatever, if you see what I mean. The terrain would be cut the exact distance of the tunnels away from the track so that any custom terrain would pass a tunnel test. But I don't just mean cut away the terrain like with the terraformer, I mean that you can make tunnels into the ground without having to cover the entrance to the tunnel with a 3D object. So you could build a hill then you could just build the track though it and you would have a tunnel around the track cut from the terrain to be the same distance away from the track as the NL tunnels. I don't know what you'd call that, I guess a ... tunneling tool lol.

if SM can have it why not NL?

Tia is too busy making money from her Construction kit to have that added into NL, you have to remember, its not about the customers, it's about the money being made.

Well something ive been waiting for, FOR 4 YEARS, is to actualy connect the catwalks to the track. NL is 'suposed' to be the best coaster sim out there, so why do we have waffer thin pieces of crap floating along the lift hills? I would have thought after 4 years they would have done something about that, they kinda added more trees, although there is no great detail on them.

Thank you Edge ... I thought I was the only one that was bothered by that.
Geesh ... glad I am not totally losing it. Floating steel is becoming really stupid folks.

Oh, I forgot to mention that too. The catwalks really need to be improved. I'm sick of the flat, paperlike rails of the stations too.

Floating steel is becoming really stupid folks.

Only it looks more like flat, floating paper that's shiny... [lol]

i think they also need to add a hydraulic launch like TTD's, also a better chain lift sound, multicolored trains and supports, and TTD, and Xcelerator style trains

coaster agent you seem suprised when I said I would like to terraform
below ground (SM has had that feature from the word go) so I dont see why it wouldn't be possible. As for texture spraying I am sure Tia would be able to implement this! or is it not possible using Open GL.

Yes, that's what we need. A hydro launch, and those rocket/strata coaster trains. In fact, it should be a seperate track style, unless you want the side brakes...

I know what they could add ...

... every single last little detail in the entire world somehow packed into 1kb of memory space that can run perfectly on even the worst computers. Every single coaster type there is, ever was and ever will be entirely realistic, never-the-same sound effects that combine with graphics that are the quality of real life vision, to make the game entirely realistic. Infact, the game should teleport you into a new world where it is impossible to die so you can do whatever you want with your coasters. Then add everything and anything that anybody could possibly ever want and Bobs your uncle, you've got a great game.

[:D]

The graphics for NL are great, but they stand no where close to todays standards. Just look at Doom3 and Half Life2 and all those other games. Of course, they require very advanced cards. Consoles made years ago surpass NL's graphics by far as well.

But still, NL can still make minor graphic improvements, simply by using env maps and textures more often.

think they should have water coasters.

If they added water coasters, they should also add log flumes. All we really need is the track style and a few particle effects though.

Why in the hell do you all have to redo your wishlists every few months? Its really demanding, I think they know what you all want....

yeah, I forgot to mention that also. I'd also like to see station animation for like Inverted roller coasters and the floorless coasters (if you've been on one or seen video, you'll know what I mean)
I'd like to see hydralic lifts
and, you should be able to click hydralic lift button, then click the launch button, then you'll have working fins for that rocket coaster of yours.

If you people want all of these glorious add ons, pitch in a few thousand dollars and hire a crew of talented, real graphics/3d modeling guys say from ID or Valve to go work with Ole then.

Comparing a game made by one coder, 1 modeler and a couple texture artists is HARDLY a fair comparison against the other "mainstream" games that have HUGE budgets and sometimes hundreds of people doing multiple things at once.

While we are at it, we might as well compare a mom and pop computer discount store to Best Buy or say, Dell. Cause ya know, the Mom and pop store should be able to sell for rock bottom prices and get their own parts at uber cheap prices and offer tons of add ons and service plans etc. :\

If they can make detailed trains, brakes, and LIMs, they sure as hell can make some decent catwalks without needing assistance from any more modelers.

oh, i forgot to mension that it would be cool if u had that train storage thing, (how do u call it?), cuz i see loads of ppl trying to replicate them in 3d, so wouldn't it be nice to actualy have one? + it would add to realisum

Thats not what I was talking about, I hoped people would understand that. I wasnt even saying it in reguards to the catwalks. Its odd, Im about as picky and perfectionist as everyone else yet I could care less about the catwalks. Theres some other more important features Id like to see.

For the time being, its not too hard to model a catwalk ina 3d program.

... I am disappointed to say that this comment you made was on the stupid stupid.
1. It might not be hard.... for an experienced modeler as yourself who knows the tricks and stuff for modeling.
But for some one like myself who has little experience, and who is still trying to figure out how to size a custom station appropriately, it would be impossible. I thought some one like yourself would have realized that.
But, its a very nice catwalk, if I do say so myself.[:D]
I do hope that NL would put in as detailed catwalks as this, I would also like to see new break catwalks. I'd also like to see totally new catwalks implement for the B&M inverts. So that way it looks like the real deal.
