Not difficult seeing which real-life coaster that inspired you;) Looking good. HWhat is between the loop and the roll? Something cool?

Hmmmm, the layout is pretty good, but You have used tools in the rides construction, which for me is something that a coaster can be downrated for. Because you've used tools to construct the ride, the maximum rating you can get from me, even if the whole ride is perfect ... is an 8

well, Gouldy, let me put it this way. The point of No Limits is not how you build the ride. Its how the ride turns out after your finished. If one decides to create a ride without using anything, good for him. But it would be impossible for them to make it perfect.
Now, as real has said before, Designers in real life don't toy around with No limits and try to make angles right, and geforces good, and everything. They make calculations and probably have thousands of tools to help them. I'm sure when B&M designed Talon, they did not make all 4,602 pages of calculations with out the use of tools, or computers, or calculators. You have the old rides (the John A. Millers that you don't seem to like) that are like no limits before the use of tools came out. And you don't like them because of w/e reasons(at least thats what you've told us). But now we have tools so now we can make our rides better than ever, and make them more Intamin & B&M like. This is the way that NL has evovled. So you choose to build the old fashion way, good for you, but if some one chooses to build with the tools they paid for, well good for them. You should never take into consideration on how they built it but what the out come in the end is.
[/rant]
As for the ride, it looks "smashing" and I would enjoy testing it if you ever decide to test it. Also, your above view shot was pretty cool, if I do say so myself

Ya I am a bit on the fence when it comes to using tools. Yea real coaster designers may use lots of tools, but are we real coaster designers? No! The only reason one should be using NL is for a hobby or for fun, unless Ole or another company is using it for coaster firm. IMO tools should either be universal (made for both macs and pcs, and free to all) or not available at all. Paying more for an advantage isnt fair, and I know life isnt, but where it can be made fair, it should. Plus after using NL for one year I have learned alot about geometry and the shapping and so on. Its like an education as well.

The 'tool' you have used is the auto heartliner thing, or the hearliner help thing whatever the hell its called. Now, if you have used that which indeed I can see you have, obviously you need less effort to be put into the ride to make it superb. If this ride is perfect in every way then it gets rated a 10 right ... well what do you do if someone has made a completely perfect ride and not used tools? rate them 11? You can't do that, so you have to downrate rides that have used tools. I have a higher respect for people who use no tools and end up with a good ride, than I have for people who use toold and end up with an excellent ride, I'm sorry but thats the way I feel. Just because they will have put more effort in to the ride than the people using tools.

DJTommy has explained to me that what he has used is just a guide and it doesn't automatically heartline the track for him BUT, is he still not using something automatic which is of help to him? yes he is, therefor I cannot possibly rate this ride a 10, yes its possible for him to get a 10 in Adrenaline and in originality, but not a 10 for technical.

Honestly, who cares if he used tools or not??? If its a good coaster it should get a good rating!

Dj, the ride is looking pretty fun! But to be honest lol, I liked that first station better than that wood one. The wood one looks like it was just built with the boards from the NL Editor =/
But overall, this ride looks really fun :D

What if I built a coaster that rates a "10", but I used tools so it now rates an "8", but the tools I used I created myself... would the coaster then rate a "15"? ;)

[edit: ob_topic -- Your project looks like it's coming along quite nicely. It's interesting to see the screenshots showing the various stages of development. I'm looking forward to riding once you make it available.]

I dont recall where NoLimits was a game and not a simulation? I also dont recall where there were rules as to how a ride has to be built.

ALL TOOLS require the track to be in very good shape before use. Hence, its NOT a magic wand. Some people will be too ignorant to every see this or accept this, even with the tons of examaples I have given and shown (not to mention Busters attempts) but to each his own.

But dont expect to get points because you hand do a ride completly. To me not using tools you either are doing it for your own challenge, or being ignorant of things out there to help in order to get others to rate your ride higher.

I just am completely puzzled as to when there were set rules in NL about how rides are to be crafted and when these rules came about. When there is a tool that does everything for you and turns crap into gold, Ill let you know. Because at that time, Ill quit NL. But obviously theres no truth to tools doing this.
