WooHoo! Job At Alton :)

Finally god has taken a liking to me and i have managed to swing a job at Alton Towers for this upcoming season! I will be a ride host in the X-Sector so if any of you guys are coming to the themepark this year make sure you say Hi!!! Can't quite remember if the employees where name tags but if they do just look for Danny, and if we don't then just look for the dorky guys why brown hair and real skinny (okay, im not really dorky, atleast i hope not [:p]).

Only if you gimme a copy of the tape [:D] But knowing my luck i will be hosting Enterprise that day and lets face it... an on-ride video of enterprise would be as interesting as watching paint dry [:p] (exagerated but you get my drift)

If you are working on Oblivion, then surely you get to ride it before the park opens? I know this happens at Drayton Manor with their rides, so if it happes at AT then you could make a good onride [:)]

Should be a great year to work at the park especially X Sector as you may be lucky and get cover work in UGLand, even Rita.

how did you actually get the job? [:D]

My induction is the 28th of this month. I move up to Cheadle (a place near Alton) on the 26th, i'm nervous as hell! Unfortunately i'm only a ride assistant but i was told that i can apply for Op when i start and if another ride-op drops out then i'll be next in line.
I got the job by simply filling in one of the online application forms on the main AT website. About 2 days later i got an email from someone saying they'd recieved it, day after that i got another email saying its been successful and they'd like to arrange an interview. About a week after that i get a call and they do an interview with me over the phone. Soon as the questions had finished the lady said to me well done, have a contract lol. When she told me the position i got was in the X-Sector i was over the moon.

Unfortunately i don't think i will be doing any work in Ugland (not sure, but isn't Ugland being re-themed and re-named this year?) as the lady on the phone said i will only be working on Oblivion, Submission, Enterprise and Hex. But you never know, maybe one day they'll be under-staffed in Ugland and need our X-Sector help, can always hope [:)]

Dirk, there is a full POV of Air over on Towers Times, can't be bothered to go and find it again cus I'm lazy ... go find it yourself . Its not from the front row though. Theres also a Nemesis onride video over there somewhere too

Interview was actually real easy... It was done over the phone and all it was was a few questions about what i would do with an un-happy customer, how can i offer excellent service etc... I was suprised how quick she made a decision, soon as the Qs had finished she was like "congrats! im offering u a contract!" I was kinda stuck for words lol.

Maybe falling through [:(]... going up to view the property i'm going to be calling home for the next year of my life tomorrow. The total i have to pay is ?????????800 which i have (just) but if i pay that then i got no money for food, electric, gas etc... and i'd also need to walk 5 miles to work and 5 back daily [:(]

Hopefully i can congregate the money, and hopefully i'll be seeing alot of you guys next season [:)]

A bike? Are you mad!?!? that involves pedaling, and pedaling involves energy! Wont be seeing me do that! lol

Would need about 400 lift-hills... remember that the structure can not go over tree height [:(]
