What if you use 3ds water? [lol]

BTW, I might have to conver the entire terrain to 3ds for tunneling (but it messes up the trees so I'll back away) Beter yet, I'll just use the classic "cover up the terrain with a black plane 3ds object" method.

What about terrain textures? Or is it just as long as the texture's grass? And the water looking similar to the regular one?

[lol] Funny question, well, it'd be the same if you never placed the tree, but another tree in the new position. Even if it was a rule that you can't move trees you place, there's nothing they can do about it. [lol]

It sounds fun. I would join but my right arm is broken so I can't build any NL-tracks :(. I really want to see these "treetop" tracks because terrain coasters are my favourite (especially wooden).

A: yes, but bare in mind that you cant win weekly awards with contest tracks

Also i can check by comparing the original map and tree position and your track file, so i will know [;)]

Count me in, formally. Also, will we be limited to a single entry, or can we do more than 1?

Who decided upon a 7-car minimum?? That's ridiculous...and I know, I've already read the previous questions...but, not even real wooden tracks use 7-cars. 7-car PTCs on a wooden track that is uploaded are going to run much much slower than 7-car hyper coaster trains on a hyper track. That puts unfair restraints on wooden coaster builders, IMO. You should be allowed six cars...seven is not realistic.

But count me in...

Coaster must run smoothly with 3 trains

that's an awful lot, most coasters under 100 ft tall don't even have an MCBR, how are we suppose to be expected to run 3 trains smoothly?
My design won't allow a 3rd train. So could we just have points deducted or something, or would it not be possible to win if we don't have a 3rd train?
hmm, I guess I'm gonna have to redo the ride[:(]

he said we can move them a little bit (?)

edge- why not just kill the no moving trees rule because of the confusion and say we can move trees a total of.... i dunno.. so many feet before points are deducted?

"that's an awful lot, most coasters under 100 ft tall don't even have an MCBR, how are we suppose to be expected to run 3 trains smoothly?"

my coaster runs perfectly with 3 trains.. one in the station, one on the track, one on the breaks. but the one on the breaks isn't there for very long.

If we can move the trees, then we shouldn't be able to, because I think the challenge of only being able to move or delete 8 trees is a much more exciting prospect than just "yeah you can move any trees, but you can only delete a maximum of 8" so yeah....you'd better not be able to move more than the 8 trees lol.

Actually, I've got a question. Are we allowed to build underground tunnels? You know, not messing with the terrain at all, just the track entering the ground via a 3D tunnel? Just wondering as it happens on parts of Nemesis which is mainly what this contest is about and I've realised that in the later parts of the leyout I have come up with, it might be a great feature if the ride was to go underground.

Not really, Ghostrider runs 7 cars per train and if it were kept up, would be just fine.
