Comments Only - No Rating

Now you can add comments only to the rating, simply don;t pick a number for a rating and it'll add just comments without factoring in a rating.

hmmm... it looks like if you don't rate it but comment it that the rate will be an 0 that still effects score. You can see it here:

Someone rated 0.83 and me only a comment. His total rate is just 0.43
So still my comment does effect score!

This may be a bit off of the conversation here, but lately people have been posting responses in the Forum complaints area, and I know it is not allowed, so why arent people being told not too? Maybe make it so that once a person posts the complaint, the topic becomes auto-locked, or only acessible to mods and admins?

I would do what I said above or be stricter about the members posting replies in the forum.

I only hope this doesnt get people to give shorter, one-linerish responses and no numerical feedback. Im just not sure as for myself where i stand now. I can see it going both ways. It may increase the feedback levels, but will that feedback be worth reading?

perhaps, it still has a min. 50 or 100 character limit I think, We're thinking of upping it to 100 character minimum. Not sure still, recommendations?

i don't mind rasing the character minimum. You can try for a week and see what happned with the ratings? [:D]

raise it, also, is there a rating guidline to help new members understand how to rate rides properly? If not, i can wip one up rightn now.

Im all for any raise that makes people think rather than just type nonsense.

I just comment only someone's coaster to test this and it worked fine, my suspicion is this person added comments only rating before we fixed the bug, lemme delete it and add it again

ok, rated it again under your name and the error occured, hmmm! I'll wait for redBrad0 to check this out! I rated it under my name as well and same problem, hmmm! We'll see what happens [pshades]

I think I remember others rating on a coaster, with only comments, cant recall if it affected the score though, pretty sure it didnt.
