" Gold Rusher (First Arrow Steel Coaster)"

erm- the first steel coaster ws the matterhorn in disneyland. which just happened to be built by arrow. i think either you're wrong, or i found an odd paradox lol. [:D] hehe, j/k i know you ment the first arrow mine train.

but as for the vote, i say florida. florida has the best dark rides, the best family rides, the best water rides, the best water parks (blizzard beach and typhoon lagoon) they have gwazi, kumba, space mountain, Dinosaur, montu, a few coasters and rides on several beaches, daytona, oranges, tropical weather, hurricanes, beaches, universal studios, disney, BGT, they have that indoor freefall parachute jumping thingie, bunjee jumping, a place where you can try the flying trapeze, epcot (no thrill rides(ecxept MS and TT), but an awesome park) mission space- the only centrifuge ride anywhere, parasailing, snorkeling, islands, etc. etc. etc. i definatly vote for florida. all ohio has is a few theme parks and farms, and trees, and cleveland- which doesnt really have much. pennsylvania is the same story. a fe good parks, but not much else to do. hell, even the area around kennywood probably gets 15 billion murders a year. pittsburgh is really a dump. oh.. and they have amish people too! what fun! lol.. florida it is for me!

Actually coaster99, I was thinking of Matterhorn lol, I just kinda drifted out of my mind there. Nevrmind about that. And one thing, Ohio actually has more theme parks than Florida, so saying Ohio's theme park population is only a few in Cleveland is mistaken, my only personal concern with going to Ohio would be the weather though, as it is awfully cold there compared to Florida.

actually, i find that the summers are awesome. florida can get way too hot! so weather wise- i'd do ohio. at least when the parks are open [:)] and ohio does have more parks (mabey? florida has at least 7 theme parks not including water parks) and are there any parks around cleveland? i was forced into going to cleveland last year for a magician's convention (brother is a magician) and i couldnt find anything to do! hehe.. i think that florida is a better vacation spot if you want theme parks, but ohio might be better to just live there and want to go to a park one saturday or something like that.... minus the fact that its a red state but i'm not gonna bring politics into this [;)]

LOL, yea, keep the politics out before people start gunning for each other and The Edge has to get out his shotgun...again. Its really a moot point between which state is better for theme parks, as depending on weather, personal preference, etc. you could argue for either state.

i voted Florida since it's the only place i've been. however i STILL haven't gone to Seaworld, BGT, EPCOT, or the Animal Kingdom. so there's a handful of good rides ive missed. this summer may change my vote though. I am going to Chicago and Idianapolis so i think we're going to SFGAm, PKI, AND!!!- CeDaR pOinT WOO HOO. ohhhh, i told my dad i'll skip the other 2 just to go to Cedar Point for 2 days. if we don't i threatened him...[devilish] heh heh heh...

I don't know
Flodrida sounds fun with Hulk and some other cool coasters
but Ohio has Ttd and MilForce
but then miami is a hell of a nice city
When i'm visiting the us, i'd go to both

trust me, ttd and MF both suck. mf has a drop and a lot of speed but nothing special and the airtime sucks. ttd is just a quick few second ride and a drop- nothing too special and it's always closed.

Depends on if you want Eye Candy or Coasters.

Ohio is best for thier amount of coasters and Florida is best for Themes.

If you have children then Florida has the best parks to hit. Disney and all that, I'm not really into it. I'm more of a Universal or Bgt kinda guy. Islands of Adventure is the ulimate theme/thrill park if you ask me.

And if you are just seeking thrills than Ohio is the place to go because they have the wonderful Cedar Point, PKI, and Geauga Lake.

E-Man, quite a few of the rollercoasters in Florida have historical value. Hulk is the only B&M launched coaster, Dueling Dragons is the only dueling inverted coasters, Python was one of the first upside down rollercoasters, Kumba was the first rollercoaster to introduce the large vertical loop, Dive Loop, Zero G Roll and Interlocking corkscrews. Scorpion is one of the few single looping Scwharzkopf's left in the states, and Sheikra will have the tallest inversion on Earth and the 1st 90 drop on a dive machine. So, do you still think that Florida's rollercoasters have no value?

i voted Ohio. They have alot of great parks and water parks(3 Waterparks in the area of Geauga Lake, counting Wildwater Kingdom.) They also have a lot of Indoor Waterparks (Like Great Wolf Lodge and Splash Lagoon) They have the lake, and theres alot to do in Cleveland-Toleda areas.

Also depends what you like in a ride. Obviously there coaster992001 didnt get on MF on a good day. I have ridden it quite a few times and 2/3rd's the time on the hills I get complete floater airtime. Its hit or miss, remember, its a huge ride. Speeds fluctuate. Im also a speed kind of guy, so I love having the wind push the tears from my eyes in the front seat.

Then again, I can sympathise with people who DO get the slower rides or the days where Dragster was broken down.

Its unfair to say its always down too when I bet you werent there more than 3 or 4 times. I was there every Friday, maybe Fri-Sat and it was down no more than 1/4th the time. Again, when you are there on a weekly basis, the outlook changes.

As for Hulk, fun ride, but nothing like "woah!"

Dueling Dragons on the other hand...very WOAH.
Montu is ok...at best. I was not that impressed.
Kumba kicks major butt.
So does Gwazi.

Have yet to ride Dania Beach Hurricane or Kraken.

Depends, the coasters in Ohio are much better than those of Florida IMO. There is CP, GL, SFO. Florida has a decent mix aswell though, BGTB, Disney, and the dueling dragons+hulk. Some fun stuff to do down there. I am just a hard core coaster rider, so I stand by CP.

I meant SFO is Geauga Lake...well...basically GL is SFO and the other way around becasue when you drive ti SFO, your at Geauga Lake, but 2 years ago, you would drive to SFWOA and it would be owned by SF but not by CF becasue CF was competeing with SFWOA...i know...that didnt make any sence what-so-ever lol

Sorry I meant to put a "/" not a ",", because GL has recently been renamed, and some may not of known of it.
