I get around 20-30 on rides with 3ds, custom env's, terrain, stuff like that, and I get 12 fps when 3 9 cars per train giga coaster vehicles are in view. On the simpler coasters, I get around the 50's for old train rides, and 30-40 for new train rides and woodies.

My standards for framerate aren't that high. For a coaster I'm currently working on, it's got alot of trees and stuff (and is a giga coaster). I'm getting around 14 fps, and it's not too big a deal, as long as it doesn't go below 8, then I'm fine. I would like it to go up to 20-30 at least but there's nm I can do. (I'm thinking about upgrading to some geforce fx card soon though, then I get pixel and vertex shaders, the stuff that makes the RCT3 water look great, and it may be useful for the sims 2 since I'm planning on getting that too)

anywhere between 60-100 depends,on the complexity and if there are any 3ds used. I think it's nearly time to invest in a new g/card

Man you guys have got good computers! On a normal wood I am lucky to get 15! Complex coasters like TTD by Real usually get about 2!

When I made TTD (my newer complex one) I got right at 30, and my computer is by no means "good" anymore, even then it wasnt high end.

I range between 60-90. Usually in the 60 range though with a full fleshed out coaster. Though, since I never usually get to that stage in my designs, well, that speaks for itself :P

i hit 1 FPS before on a coaster i made for fun and put 8,264 prefab supports (inverted) on a 1/2 mile track. It was basically a tunnel

Usually, I am between 90-100, but there are some where I do get down into the 20's and 30's, but that is rare.

What does it run at when you ride a coaster with hard core 3ds? (I mean something like Bino's posiedon water coaster) I get around 8 fps.

BTW, why don't you post it's specs? I want to see the graphics card. You should be able to run RCT3 pretty well.

And if you don't need it, then I'll have it [:)]

well...on hardcore 3Ds it runs 90-100. i don't know poseidon coaster, but i'll download it and tell you if i can find it. and im not giving it away! the internet owns now, since we got comcast. but...since i'm way too lazy, i'll just post the link

http://www.alienware.com/product_detail_pages/Aurora_7500/aurora_7500_features.aspx?SysCode=PC-AURORA-7500&SubCode=SKU-DEFAULT

also, im not sure if it's a different model with extra stuff, but i highly doubt it since i won it ^^ and they still made us pay 19.99 for S&H lol!

Its funny with the exception of Real, the great designers are on slower comps. I get decent FPS, normally aroun 40-60, although it can dip down to 10. I am on a laptop though, not meant for 3D's.
