A Scottish factory worker has been crowned the world's fastest texter after punching out a complicated message in record time.

Craig Crosbie, 24, took just 48 seconds to type out the 160-character message: "The razor-toothed piranhas of the genera Serrasalmus and Pygocentrus are the most ferocious freshwater fish in the world. In reality they seldom attack a human."

He beat the previous record holder by 19 seconds, Guinness World Records said on Tuesday.

................

Maybe that information is not so needless, maybe it could save your life in an insanely unlikely inccident, for example: A man with a massive shotgun pointed at your face says "Tell me who is the man who can text the fastest in the world or I will kill you until you are dead" see, seeeeeee, could help you then [:)] Thank me now, just incase you can't thank me later ..... cus of cancer or something.

Needless information #81

Scientists have moved a step closer to a real life Jurassic Park scenario after extracting what look like blood vessels and cells from a tyrannosaurus rex. They have not ruled out the possibility of obtaining dinosaur DNA from the 70-million-year-old samples.Until now the idea of DNA being preserved in ancient dinosaur fossils has not been taken seriously.

Yeah, when I was listening to it I thought I had as well, but obviously not ey. I swear to god that Decapitated's drummer plays faster than that in some of their songs. Someone work out how many beats a second, 1199bpm is, cus I can't be arsed [:P]

Edit: Ok I lied, I could be arsed, its just under 20 beats per second so no way is Decapitated's drummer faster than that, but the video on that site of the worlds fastest drummer certainly did not sound like there was 20 beats per second. Are you sure that the video on that site actually is the worlds fastest drummer, drumming at his fastest?

Decapitated does have a fast drummer, but he's no where near as fast as Joey Jordison from Slipknot.

Its fast, but sounds crap imo...all drums solos sound crap to me [lol] Yeah he can play the double bass pedal at several hundred bpm, but it just kinda sounds the same after the first 10 minutes
