A virus probably got someones contact list and is automatically sending crap out...it just keeps repeating. I would suggest not opening any emails with attatchments until WWS comes and okays it.

this is the type pf virus that if one user gets it, that it automatically sends itself out to everyone in that users e-mail list with usernames from that e-mail list so some other user got it who has my e-mail address in his address book as well has intaminfan's and yours. Simple as that, get a virus scanner to scan all incoming mails, I have one and I get those e-mails each and every day [:(] you can add a rule to your mail client to automatically reject any e-mail with an attachment of scr, exe, pif and so on.

AntiVirus note:
AntiVirus removed the attachment: text.pif.
The attachment was infected with the W32.Mytob.M@mm virus.

There's your culprit, someone infected with that and sending out to everyone on their e-mail list infecting others and sending itself to others as well etc.

... hence why the address I use to sign up for these sites is g-mail and they have a nice ability of weeding out ALL spam crap. I never save contacts either there - just to be sure.

Gee, it is almost like I am a network administrator and am smarter than the 15 year old who developed this piddly chain virus ...

Thats probably because Gmail can sort out spam. Hotmail I think has a virus blocker, not sure, but if so that would probably be why you didn't get that email.

Um, so how do you really know you have a virus on your computer. Also, I haven't sen any mails from WWE lately, will I be expecting one? If so, what should I look for in this E-mail to know if it is a virus? Will it be sent to my contacts too if it reaches my E-mail?

Thanks for the heads up!

You will know that an email has a worm when you get emails that have non-sense attatchments. Just delete them.
The virus doesn't infect your contact, it just takes the adresses out of it and sends itself to them.
To know if you have a virus or not, you need a virus scanner.
