I announced yesterday that the system was officially changed. It's the top 16. I don't think you have to worry either way, Dirk. [;)]

Yeah your coaster looks good from what i have seen dirk. I didnt have enough time to get rid of all the bumps dam it. Did every one else find that B&Ms are really hard to make smooth without tools???? I have never used tools, apart from the auto flanger, and i think this is one of the only coaster types i would use it on. B&M floorless coasters and Intamin hypers are my worst tracks, and woodies are my best! [:D] IF i get to the next round, PLZ let it be a woody round, [lol]

What e-mail address did you send it to? I never recieved it, and there is no post on the exchange. All you said is that you finished it and posted a picture. If you can prove that you submitted the track (IE, take a screenshot of the message you sent, which should be in your 'sent' folder) and your track will be accepted.

(my e-mail address is cjd@muskingum.edu, not cjd@coastercrazy.com...)

I've still got 12 coasters to judge, so nothing is official yet. About the next round... sorry, no Intamin inverts. If you picked up the hint from the terrain shape and coaster type in the first round, it should be pretty easy to figure out what the other 3 are going to be. There is a pattern. I'm sure alot of people will figure it out after they see the round 2 template and coaster type.

The rules are now officially changed. The top 16 tracks will advance to the next round.

If we used the top 32, the contest wouldn't be over until almost July. Just 16 this time. Plus, that would only eliminate 1 track.

so let's think:
16 continue now
8 continue round 2
4 continue round 3
2 continue round 4
1 = winner [:D]

It will be 4 in the last round, and the winner of that round will win the overall thing.

It's 11 days to build, 3 days to judge for each round. That would take 70 days for 5 rounds. It is top 16, and that is not changing. If it goes any longer, the contest may drag into final exams week, or summer vacations. And x is right about the finals... the top four will compete in one massive coaster-building slugfest. yahoo!
