A minor addition to WWS could be to color the mods, admins and VIP's names in the forums, in individual threads. Or just underneath their name (and not the title, maybe above or below it though) have their position in a certain color. I think that higher members and those who run the site deserve a little more respect than what they have been getting, and this way, members might think twice before mouthing off to a higher member.

Example:

Administrator
Moderator
VIP

Obviously not something really needed, but just trying to help brainstorm ideas to help the site [:)]

I disagree with this idea. I don't really feel that even though my name is in yellow at the bottom of the screen means that I should deserve any more respect than anybody else. Weeweeslap and Co. are a cool bunch of guys, and I show my appreciation for them by occasionally donating money. It doesn't make me anybody special around here though.

Nah, we don't need to start a heirarchy here. It makes non-VIP's feel insignificant. Trust me, I know from CoasterSims. Everyone that is not Real, Buster, Hansixx, RideOp, McFly, Phyter, Cactus22Minus1, or Jackfrahn feels kind of like a plankton drifting in a sea of whale sharks.

^not to mention the ego's that float around over there [lol]

In all seriousness though, I agree with what Kev and Cjd have said. This place is based on a having a friendly atmosphere where everyone is welcome and everyone is treated equally.
Plus, that wouldn't really be fair for everyone. Alot of the users here are quite young and cannot make donations for one reason or another. Thus that group would feel left out and so on...

Everyone that is not... Cactus22Minus1, or...

I thought he died, some how, after never finishing his set of videos for Six Flags St. Lois. All I saw was the Boss video, and heard stuff from him never more, never more!

The heirarchy is the same there as it is here. They have the Gold Pass Guest, then theres the VIP's here. Theres the Admins and staff there, Admins and moderators here. Same structure.

Since I frequent here as much (more now) than I do CS, what keeps people from feeling like plankton here? I didnt have any special privs with my GPG status, it was a tag. It didnt allow me to speak over or under anyone.

I just dont see where I intimidate people. Im always open to people and willing to help when I can. Maybe it was because of all of my medals (LOL! those stupid things again) or my record, not sure.

As Far as Cactus, not dead. Just has no internet.

It always seems that the big contributors to the NL communities have crappy computers or internet connections :/

Perhaps a nice neon flashing sign for admins? [lol]

Seriously, there is really no reason to advertise who is who -- I mean, don't we all know who is staff? Even on a small site like Coasterfuel there are no special tags, except that we have signature blocks. Besides, don't we all know each other anyway?

nah, no special flashing, just the distiguishing color at the bottom of the default forum pge is enough, At one time we had the coloring of mods and admins disabled but meh we turned it back on cuz edge wanted to feel cool [lol] I, even though am the owner and head admin of this site, feel that I am below everyone els eon the hierchy as I am the one who has to deal with all the stuff behind scenes, do tons of work and stuff. While you normal folk have it easy and just cruise around and what we've done for you guys [lol] VIP's get no special treatment besides that one forum which you can ask any one of the vip's is a waste of space for the most part as almost nothing gets posted there. Unlike CS where they hide the GPG forum, we have it viewable but not accessible. You can see the slow posts there as they were at CS, when I was a GPG there, MoP and I were basically the only ones who posted there. All in all the sites aren't too differen't, only the staff here is much much cooler and can build tracks [lol] Enough dissing the comp, I dislike them for various reasons but I have bigger fish to fry in this huge pond. Anyway with that said no we wont colorate or undertitlelize the admins, vips and mods. But we are in talks of having VIP exclusive content, with the first being that one video already posted of alton towers [;)] Anyway I must cork it and go eat my dinner as I just got off work to pay the bills for this site, 75% of my weekly check goes towards the site!
