I think any improvements will obviously cause the staff more scripting if they want to improve this community.

and we'll only script things that are worth scripting, not some haha I rated more than you stuff. Something worth while, hence it's hard to come up with something good as most people suggest small ideas and not big picture ideas.

What about having a minimum scoring requirement for raters? My biggest frustration is when you get a low rating by someone who spouts on about their coaster expertise, yet their tracks only rate in the 3 to 4 range. It seems some of our harshest raters (Tyler not included as he has the background) are peeps who have very low rated tracks or even no tracks (Coasterstud or hunk or whatever their name was). I think this would motivate everyone to really work on their tracks so they can become a rater. Through this extra work I think a better understanding of how much hard work some of us put in would make the ratings a little more fair. Just my two cents>

but there are also peeps who know enough about designing but really suck on it themself (me for example), i know when a track is smooth or not, or when supports are that realistic or that g's must not bejudged by wether the'r yellow or green. But i really suck at smoothing and banking

What about having a minimum scoring requirement for raters?

That's something rather difficul to implement because how would be form the scoring system and how would we will be able to tell if someone is adept to rate? Good idea but hard to do.

I'd say that would require a hired staff member or a VERY smart tool. Many coasters are uploaded daily. Plus a rating is one's opinion and jugdement of a coaster - nothing more, nothing less. If all the rates were 7.5, what would be the point of adding you rate that would have to be 7.5?
