maybe you should update your drivers. SixFlagsFiesta has an X800 and he says he doesn't go below 100, so I don't know what your problem is. So I'd just update the drivers.

Explain to me what fps has to do with designing a ride.

Its funny with the exception of Real, the great designers are on slower comps. I get decent FPS, normally aroun 40-60, although it can dip down to 10. I am on a laptop though, not meant for 3D's.

Nah, my comp (before this one Im on now) wasnt great, it was medium at best. I was only rollin with a 1.6ghz P4 with 512RAM and a GF4 Ti 4200, VERY medium by todays standards.

Now however, P4 3.2ghz 800FSB 1gig RAM and a GeForce 6800 as well as a SATA 250GB HD. Stupid SATA connections, making me go buy ANOTHER HD (yes, I can fill it in time, heh).

Now I usually max it quite often and the thing looks GORGEOUS.

I get about 60 on average, but I get 100 when the ride is just steel with all pre-fabs. Giant wood coasters, like those in round 2, drop me down to about 25 fps when I'm looking at the whole ride.

Man, I can't wait to upgrade to a 256mb 9600pro

I do think they should improve the graphics of the game though. Use DX9 and put it to good use. Reflections, bumpmapping, etc should not be uncommon. Come on, SM2 is going to use it. (even though SM1's gfx currently aren't very good.) And don't forget 3d trees, stations, and catwalks.

I get about 99 FPS no matter what the ride really is.
