u can also save your track as an element
start a new track
move the 1st vertex in the angle u want
and insert the element

If you do it that way though, the track won't be aligned straight. And it will take forever to get the shape you want.

Well I can't help you with your own track building skill, but thats how I do any track that is at an angle to the grid lines and its how I've always done it, go on any of my tracks and take a look for yourself, I think you'll find they are all straight [:)] except for maybe my very early tracks when I was still crap.

To help you make it perfectly straight, go onto the top down view again after you've moved the new node into the place you want it and done everything else with it, and look at the previous node, use the pixels on the lines on the handles to see exactly what degree you need to turn the new node to for it to be at the same angle as the previous node, its not rocket science for christs sake.

Well, yeah of course, but if you edit something in side view, it screws up the track in the top view, and vice versa. Yes, you can get it straight, but it requires back and forth editing between views.

not if you just get it right first time [:D], gloating is funny hehe. Anyway, you don't have to edit the angle of the node in side view, you only change what height its at, on the side view, all the rest of the editing is done in the 3D view. But I've had a bit of a rethink about this whole thing and honestly, I don't really think it matters. We each have our own building style, (well the people who use a lot of tools lose that somewhat but nevermind) and I guess we all build in a way that suits us, so I guess if that involves using tools then that is your choice, but I'm still not going to rate rides that have been tooled because I would still rate them down for doing so.
