[lol] The subwoofer and the surround sound is actually just silly. I wasn't listening to music earlier and I turned it up to half way and it hurt, so CHRIST knows what full blast would be like. The resonating noise that comes from the subwoofer when it's on full bass (even if the computer is off and making no sounds) is STUPID [lol] I turned the bass up to full and the walls and stuff where all vibrating and I could feel my whole chest tightening [lol] Still though, it makes playing NL ridiculously good, because you can actually feel the ride instead of just seeing it.

Well heres my system. In that picture the desk is considered "Clean"

But my case is an Antec Cool N' Quite its pretty cool not being able to hear the computer fans at all. I got Logitech 4.1 speaker system, but usually use my headset with a mic. The sound is powered by the Creative X-Fi Xtreme Music (HIGHLY recomend this card kicks so much ass)

Rounding out the specs
AMD 64 bit 3400+
Geforce FX5700
1 gb ram
and 2 Samsung SyncMaster 710Ts

Since I don't really feel like taking a picture of my desk, I'll just give a rundown of my system with pictures.

17 inch snowball iMac:
1ghz Power PC G4
Nvidia Geforce 4 MX
Apple Pro Speakers
80 GB hard drive
768 MB DDR SDRAM

Peripherals:
Canon i860 printer
Logitec two button optical wheel mouse
4 port powered USB hub
Macally Icekey keyboard
6 ft USB cable for iPod Shuffle

Image

Those are the only two things I thought were really worth finding.

His graphics card supports a two headed monitor configuration. Just go to properties and choose to use two screens.

no, i mean how does it work with the mouse and stuff, do you need to switch somewhere or does the mouse jump when you come to the edge of the screen?

It acts like one large countious screen. In the picture I have it set so that the computer takes both monitors and makes it think its a single monitor. FPS games suck in this mode becuase the cross heir is smack dab in the middle of the monitors. And the 1 inch difference between the start and end of the monitors is disorintng when aiming. But I usually have it in a mode called "Dual View" where each monitor is its own desktop. Its kinda strange to explain how it works so I'll try my best.

The windows desktop behaves just as if it were a single monitor. BUT each monitor can have different settings. (One can be at 1280x1024 and the other could be at 800x600, but who would want to do that?) I can have a ton of programs open and visable at the same time. Say I'm making a recreation in NL. One monitor has the NL editor fully maximized, the other monitor has pictures of whatever I'm working on. So rather than switching back and forth with only one window open. I can focus on either by just looking at it closer. The only downsides to the whole thing are slight drops in video card performance on games, and when you do load a game that takes up the whole screen alt-tab is still the only way to access the desktop, unless the game has the feature "run in window"

don't got a digi cam... but heres a pic of it from the AW site:
Image

although fps rarly exceed 60, the Processor speed is awesome...
my old comp had a X800 XT, so constant 100 FPS, but a horrid processor... meh. It gets really hot though... even though it has 6 or 7 fans.

holy crap, you got an alienware? I'm all for super fast computers, but I read that the battery life on the AW laptops ain't the best.

^ i heard something simular to that, like grim said there are 6 to 7 fans so that probably takes up a substantial amount of battery life right there but alienware's are good quality computers
