Hi,

I was just wondering whether you lot would accept prefab supports on a vekoma SLC. I would only use prefabs on the parts that didn't need custom supports. If you don't think prefabs will do, can somone point me to some images of real life or nolimits coasters that you consider to have a good support structure for the SLC.

Cheers.

Is using prefab supports bad? I would think that as long as the ride is smooth with no real technical flaws that using prefab supports wouldn't hurt. You would just have to make sure that you are using the right support for the right part of the ride.

yeah, that'll look nice on a slc

but, monolth, custom's are allways better, but when using pref. make sure it's stays realistic

most people use only prefab supports when it looks realistic, so don't use a prefab single support on a 300ft high track. Prefab supports look good on track for example that isn't too high above the ground. You can use those arc supports for example for final brake runs from inverters that are 10ft above the ground. On other tracks like stand up's or floorless coasters you can use the single support or the double support for the low track. It all depends on situation from the track.

Yeah, in that case a box support would look better. I would think no higher than maybe 100ft or so and then you would have to go with custom supports.
