Well, I was having trouble coming up with a good layout for Purple Haze, so I decided to start on something new, and I'm *VERY* happy with how it's coming along. I'm so happy with it in fact, I've done something I've never done before. You can ride what I've got so far at http://www.cg2.org/file.php?id=176 I hope you enjoy the preview. Here are some pics and stats:

The 193ft lift hill

View from the station.

Lift hill supports. I plan on this ride having the most realistic supports of any NL ride, period.

Image

The 78 degree, 139ft twisting first drop, which leads into..

Image

The 4g ascending turn which leads to...

Image

The 95ft second drop. The entire train gets to at least -1.1 vertical g over this crest. Back hits -1.5.

Overall view...

Cool! Looked at it this morning - didn't have time to comment until now. Love everything about it - the layout. The colors of the tracks though, do you plan on making the spine and rails match the main color? For some reason it seem akwards otherwise.

The ride is nearly done... All I need to do is finish with support placement...

Very nice! is this all elementary? Did you code the supports? Or is this about 50 percent by hand? 100 percent? Sorry for so many questions im just very curious. [;)]

Track and supports are 100% tooled. Creativity is 100% by hand ;)

Part of my support tool. To get technically, it's a repating increasing/decreasing ramp of hue values from 0 to 0.5 to 0 in HSV color space.

Getting real close...

Supports are done, just need to finish the queues and do a little terrain.
