A new wooden coaster is in production -- right now it is about 1/4 laid out - not much to report at the moment, but it is in the works (mainly to help me forget about Batteur and all the headaches that was worth ...)

Hey guy let' calm down. If he likes the color let it go. IMHO I think it's nice to see a more oringinal scheme than your typical tree-bark brown. Looking good TJ.

It is just a colour, wait until he uploads it, and see if the colours have changed...[;)]

OK - here's the answer to the color thing. [lol] Brace yourselves ...

I hate the color white -- more than life itself. I cannot even remotely stand to look at it on a wood! So, when I am designing I make it ANY other color under the sun just so I will not have to see white. Now, here is another kicker for you sports fans. Ready?

I am about 60% color blind. Every coaster I have ever released ... and I do mean EVERY one ... the colors have been solely created by my wife. I have no idea what they end up being and could not tell you what they were -- I just know they ain't white and for that much I am happy.

Everybody satisfied now? [LOL] ... and oh yeah, the layout is done.

Hyyyper, did you just censor the word "dork"?? :S

It looks really nice TC, i'll actually download this one and rate it, i promise. As for the colour, who cares, i just change it if i dont like it. It shouldn't make that much difference. Really, guys lol.

I can see primary colors, but not shades. Think of it this way. Look at your grass outside. Most folks see lots of shades of green ... I see green (and I know it is green because I have been taught that) -- but I cannot see all the different shades. Hence, red is simply red. It does not matter if it is one shade or the other, red is still red.

Some more work --

Just wondering, do you create those CCI type turnarounds with one element?

No you're not going shopping, you'll probably wont see the difference between tomato soup and vegetable soup

no, what i meant is a list of what you need to do before the coaster is finished

Hy^3per: Colors and some smoothing is all that is left. And uh, I CAN read so telling the difference in soup labels is not that tough. [lol]

FN: Looks like you just created one, eh?

Yeah, but I was wondering how you do it haha. I've never built a woodie with tools before and I have only built 2 woodies ever in nl.

I build CCI turnarounds with 3 different elements. It gives a wider dip in the turn and a more realistic shape.

Opinions vary on the best way obviously, but I do one solid element in Elementary, using the "ampl" to segment to manipulate the "center section". Then, AHG to bank and you are set.
