Just today, I rode on KK and well, it didn't quite do me any good as I expected. Overall it was a good ride. Nothing really thrilling about it except it was a nice fast ride and all that. I think I like Nitro better especially with that nice drop and nice smoother ride as well but that's just me. Any good or bad thoughs about KK feel free to post. Again it was good.

1) I think i just saw a ghost flash past my window
2) Did the airtime hill deliver?
3) Did the launch knock your socks off and staple you in your seat?
4) How long did you wait?
5) Did they have hotdog stands in the queue line?

I got use to riding on coasters for years. Well actually KK was indeed fun. I can feel the adrenaline rushing through me in the begining and during the takeoff pulling off lots of g's. I was a bit thrilled (Although I took the back seat) It wasn't bad at all except the ride was a little rough all the way through but normal. On the very top of the hill, the drop was nicely done but it didn't really do much for me. The second hill was quite thrilling experiancing the negative g's. The waiting time it took me about an hour and a half. Hip hop, rap whatever kind of music they play during the waiting line was so loud. It would of been nice if they didn't play anything at all in the waiting line. As for food and beverages, they only serve cold drinks. Well maybe A little frightning at first but it was a cool ride. Again, overall it was good IMO but I wouldn't waste my time riding it again. Others may think the ride was exhalent.

Rough - or does the train just vibrate?

I bet it vibrates...which makes me ask the question, do you think its possible to reach those speeds and forces without some vibration you cant control?

I think they'll invent something like wheels or track that reduce viberation or maybe ad some suspension to the cars,

That would be nice if they do but for now I guess that's the way there made when they vibrate as the speed of the train increases. This felt a little uncomfortable for me but nothing major.

I believe that is one of the infinite reasons why you have been punished with negative points hyyyper. Anyway sounds like you had fun. I can't wait to ride this summer[:D]

Its in the wheel assemblies and the suspension. I doubt for those trains you can do much better. Do you guys realize what you are talking about?

Something like 6 tons of mass hurtling down a track at 120+mph pulling probably close to 4.5 - 5 G's. You really think its easy to get the vibrations any lower? Dragster vibrates the same way, worse in the back. But its just vibration, nothing rough.

except for making some huge wheels, i dont think anything can be done to help prevent it. your always going to feel like a vibrating son of a gun, but it wouldnt be all that bad, or noticable really.

Cars shake at 120 and their suspensions are far superior, not to mention rubber air filled wheels.

These things run on a polyurethane wheel on a hard steel track. Far from air filled rubber tires on pavement that gives plus better suspension :P

well they cant put rubber wheels on this. look at hypersonic, ive heard numerous reports that is feels rougher than one of my first tracks. and not to mention that they replace those tires 3 or so times a month.

The top view was quite awesome and looking down was like your skydiving in a sense lol.... Would of been fun if it didn't ride rough. Again who knows this could be a great ride for most but don't let my thoughts stop you or anybody. Everyones different[:D]

Im just curious as to how its rough. If you think thats rough, you must be limited to riding only B&M rides that dont include any of the intense ones because they all feature some "rough" element or shaking. Just comes with the territory.

actually real, i personally havent rode HyperSonic, it is just what i have heard from some friends and a review or two i have heard.

and for the record. i have been on more woodies than b&ms. since i live in the heartland, the closest B&M is 6 hours away in chicago. i only get to ride B&M's while on coaster trips. and i have been on the batman clone at 7 different parks. (6 SF parks). and i forgot, i love intamins and i love CCIs and i have arrows [xx(]

This one guy I talked to the other day said that in some seats the train vibrates through the entire ride, but in other seats its perfectly (within reason) fine.

And if it was a rough/bumpy ride that would be one big goof on Intamins part! Most of the ride is straight track which they should have no problem manufacturing especially after twisty rides that are smooth like Storm Runner, SROS@SFNE, Kanonen etc.

Well i'll tell you real, only thing I could think of is depending on how fast the train was moving could of contributed the roughness. Just like one had said that it also depends on were you sit. Me personally I took the back seat and maybe that could be the case.

None of those rides push speeds over 85. Millennium has a bit of vibration but its not like TTD. Obviously towards the backs of the train it increases because the vibration gets amplified from each car coupling from front to back.

I just still wouldnt call it rough. You want rough vibration? Go ride Mantis in any seat but the front. THATS rough vibration.

As for you Ragan, you are accustomed to roughness so Im sure anything else is super smooth however, Im sure you have a better sense of what is truely rough.
