On Saturday I got to go to World's of Fun with my friend and his family. For those of you who have never heard of Wof, it's a small theme park outside of downtown Kansas City in Missouri. The park currently has 4 roller coasters(only 3 good 1s though)Timberwolf, a fun, classical wooden coaster,Mamba, smooth DH Morgan hypercoaster,Boomerang,a Vekoma boomerang, and Spinning Dragons,a crappy, unthrilling spinning wild mouse coaster.Well that's the basic rundown of the park, now back to the trip.

Got to the park around 10 or 11,headed straight to Mamba(probably the best ride in the park), but we got side-tracked and decided to ride Zulu(Huss Enterprise) and Boomerang. They were both fun and were walk-ons no wait.So we got to Mamba walked right on rode it 3 times each with no wait and an awesome, smooth ride each time, doesn't get much better than that. After Mamba we had lunch, rode some flat rides then headed to the America section of the park. There we rode Thunderhawk(top spin),Detonator(S&S Spaceshot), and of course,Timberwolf.Unfortunately,Timberwolf was very rough and bumpy, well more then it usually is I should say,so we rode it only once, then because of it I had a bad headache for the rest of the day. After Timberwolf we...ummm well I don't know what the hell we did but we ended up going on Mamba a couple more times, then stood on the bridge of Monsoon to get wet and cool down, that worked.Let's see what happened next...oh yeah,we went on Mamba another time or 2 totally 6 total rides on Mamba. The last time we rode Mamba I spit during the fast helix and at the brakes some guy behind me says,"Who spit?!"and luckily some girl behind me says it was probably her, so it was pretty funny I guess at least 2 me it was.

Anyway that was pretty much the day right there, and you might notice there are 4 coasters in the park, but I only rode 3 of them that's because, the park's newest ride,Spinning Dragons sucks so we didn't even bother riding it,the line was 2 long and trust me that rides not worth standing in line for. Anyway if you've ever been to Wof I'd be interested to hear some of your comments about the park.In fact I got one,PUT ORIENT EXPRESS BACK IN!I used 2 love that ride.

Orient Express , Why would a park get rid of that. I think it looked like a cool ride, was it bumpy or something?

Ive never been to WoF, Mamba does look good, and i have POV of timberwolf. It looks pretty good, nothing really special.

Propably because ot was getting rough or very expensive to maintain.

I've heard someone say Mamba was a very boring ride, especially after the mcbr. They said it totally lacked airtime in the front and back seat.

Looks like you had a good day!

Orient Express was taken out because yes,it was rough, but also because they'd had some maintence problems in the past, like riders getting stuck somewhere things like that.As for Mamba being boring, I'd have to say it is now that I've ridden it so many times but you still get good airtime toward the front, not so much in the back though. Most of the airtime actually comes from the second hill, but the hills after the mcbr are actually pretty boring, the first couple hills have good airtime though.

Is Mamba braked at all on the MCBR? If so, its the park's fault that the hills after are boring, not Morgan's. I heard that before Steel Force was braked to death on the MCBR it had insane airtime on the return hills.

What si with parks now and spoiling there own rides. Parks have wrecked so many different coasters by adding more and more brakes in!!!!!

Not nearly as bad as other parks ruin their wooden coasters. Knotts just isn't maintaining Ghostrider as much as they should be and its getting way rougher than when it opened. It just needs to be retracked in a lot of places.

I really hope Six Flags dont ever do anything to the boss at six flags St Louis. That looks the best wooden coaster ever IMO, if six flags ruined that, then i think i would cry!!!!!!! [lol]
