I've seen some coasters that have the builder's name or initial's in them and it looks like it's made with the supports. How exactly is this done? It looks really cool.

if it's really made with supports just use the free nodes and connect them with the supportbeam you like and then form your name out of them.

hope this helped[:D]

Use techniques picked up in that article to make them. Back in the day me and GFA were the kings of supports objects [lol]

Those supports pale in insignificance compared to mine and GFA's work [lol] If anyone remembers my Area 51 track, literaly months of building supports. However lets all pay homage to the king of all kings of supports making...Toerti...[lol] Creating dragons and what not out of supports...man, good days, good days

I would recomend using 3ds. Supports takes too long.

^ right, and it looks better with 3Ds anyways.
The only difficult thing about 3Ds is the station. If I new how to build a station to match the ride perfectly, I would probably build 3Ds for some of my rides.

Pretty good. I'm taking a break from it today to work on my latest URDC music coaster. I might work on it tonight or tomorrow perhaps.

if you'll use the correct support beams you can make whole stations and other scenery objects.
for example, check out my Forrest Attack.
I've created a station, Queue, and dock all out of Wooden supports and a few iron beams. Took a few days to finish it but when you can do it, it really can boost up grades sometime. Like all theming does...

Yeah, but it was made back in 2001 so you know. There where no such thing as tools back in them days. If you look back on Phyters Eiffel Tower now, you cant help but think, man that ride sucks. But back in the day, that was the supreme tracks of all tracks lol
