but they do have alot of room if you create an inventive layout. they dont have room for big rectangle, but they do have room if you manovure the area where the track is. hopefully someone unnderstood that. but they do have room, so they can get anything really that their heart desires, except another hydralic coaster, they do not seem to have room for that.....unless if the launch and break run were on the sand....hmmm.

ragan's right, look at MF. we thought they didn't have a lot of room back when they built that but they found the room. what would be really cool is if they had a coaster going through clear tunnels through Lake Erie.

i don't know the measures of lake Erie, but i think that's gonna be boring, cause there wont be any airtime hill below lake-level

wth? that doesnt even make sense.
and topthrill, i wouldnt count on that happening. not only the constuction costs to build a tunnel, for that long, but you would have to put like underwater nets around it, so no boat can get in the area. but you'd probably have to sign a release form to ride it. CF wouldnt want to take that big of a risk of a lawsuit to create the ride, unless if they had a release form. the only under water coasters that *might* happen at CP would be in their lake. where it is controled, shallow and safer.

Now, there is another possibility... To expand their resorts on the park's north end this past year, CP actually expanded the penninsula. They could easily add just about as much land as they want to the park area as long as they can afford it. Or they could even mkae a coaster out on a peir like at Indiana Beach. The possibilities are endless... building an out-and-back coaster along the beach, extending a coaster into the parking lot, adding land to the penninsula, or building a coaster on a peir. All 4 of those options would give them plenty of space for a new strata coaster.

I don't think that they would ever habe an underwater coaster. That would coast to much money. I know that CP has the money but I don't think that they would spend all that money to a ride that probly be the awsome. Because lots of problems could happen when having a coaster underwater. Especially in Lake Erie.

Lol, "Cedar Point Expert", sorry just sounds a bit arrogant and I have to laugh.

Moving on, if anyone was going to build a coaster underwater I think we know CP would probably be the most capable. Yea it would pose alot of issues for engineering though.

it wouldnt been much of a troublem if they controlled the variables with the body of water that they put it in. they can put the under water section of track by mill force island. why does it have to be in eire? no reason, it is just the factoid that people are ignorant while they say CP has no room.

why not build it on top of the parkinglot?, plenty of space there, and with a lightning distractor on top, guys dont get struck with lightning when yelling "gimme a big one"...

LOL!

What about a dueling twister coaster? There are two coasters, so then the queues wont be that big. And they make a queue as big as Dueling Dragons at IOA! It would hold about 5000 people. I walked through it and it is amazingly impressive. Apparently it is 1 mile long.

Why would you want a coaster underwater anyways. You going so fast that you wouldn't really notice the water. Like hyyyper said and i think someone else said put it in the parking lot. CP should move that parking lot on the main land and then have some type of trams that takes you to the park. But lots of trams. Then CP could put like 2 big coasters. Which more people would come and more money for CP.

that's not what i meant.....i meant just build the coaster OVER the parking lot, so that there's still a 4m clearance btween cars and coasters but its still see your car being robbed while riding a coaster

well, putting a coaster over the parking lot while having the station in the park i think is a great idea. it solves the mess of where the trackwork will go and gives a heck of a lot of room to build. and i doubt cp will put the parking lot on the mainland just simply because there is absolutally no room. that area has become a motel junkyard just like what happened with Disneyland.

Yea, you do have a really good point coaster992001. But if they did find any space to put the parking lot on the mainland. Then they could make a bigger and beter park, and we all know that everything in worlds has to be bigger and better. So if CP did move the parking lot to the mainland i think that it would help them as a admusment park.

I doubt they would pursue the tallest and fastest coaster race for the exact reason that Edge said, it would be extremely difficult for them to come up with a ride that differs from TTD and also from Millenium Force.

If anything, they should go for the inversion record!

I think going for the inversion record would be neat....because europe has already done that twice (Dragon Khan (8), Colossus(10)) Then bazil with Monte' Makaya (8)....But not just thrown together..something truly innovative...i'm sure the'll have no problem with that[:D]...or maybe a double wammy...A Floorless coaster with he most inversions....I'd love that...CP is missing a floorless.

just make a coaster that goes over the paths, like the corcks on corkscrew, but this time the whole park and the parking....
as for building, put in a five-heartline roll, so new combined elements

good luck on that five-heartline rolls in a row. they would piss off WAY too many people if they did that. alot of people are saying that colossus got the inversion record a cheap way by doing that. an innovative floorless isnt a bad idea though. inversions go like this for it (or something close to it):

vertical loop, cobra, new element, zero g, immeleman, 360* loop, dive loop, interlocking corks, new element

Just think of this. Did we every think that CP was going to build a 310 ft coaster in 2000. Or a 420 ft coaster in 2003. Well think do you think that Cp is going to tell us that therr thinking of building a 500 ft coaster.
