This sucks. Says thrill rides in CA will be held to the same liability as trasportation. Wee! Now instead of buying a $115 pass to knotts, I can just get a bus pass, and get the same experience!

i think people are now going to act very dangerous on rides, and when they get injured, the park is sued.....what happened to the good old "ride at your own risk"

Heres an actual stat:

1.5 billion rides were given and less than 2400 injuries that required overnight hospitals.

Take 2400 and divide it by 1.5 billion and you get the percentage of people injured.

Yes, your answer is 0.0000016 percent. Thats pretty good, dont ya think?

It IS the safesst form of transportation in the world.

It think its partly the media's fault, although its unintentional. THey're just trying to get a story, and accidents like this are very rare, so when it happens, it usuall makes headlines. But something as common as a fatality because of a car accident is more common, it doesn't make headlines, so the court is just the stupid GP who don't get any facts before they make their judgements.

depens on the driver, not on driving,

as for the political status of the USA, it's about the same here in The Netherlands

Isnt the driving dependant on the driver though? lol

There are some things that could be improved to make driving in general easier but theres no way to stop idiots from being on the road.
