I'll go for the intamin hyper (mega and giga), because of MF and Goliath

Inverted for me (including Arrow suspended coasters).

Any Intamin Hyper Style (Giga, Rocket, Mega, etc.)

to me, the best coasters are the ones that give you air. Wooden coaster give you a ruff, and latty air time sensation, on the other hand, the steels give you a smooth, air time sensation. The difference? I don't know, sometimes you want a smoother ride with that air time, and some times you want to ruff, wild ride a wooden coaster has to offer.

Or you can ride a GOOD wooden coaster that isnt rough at all, produces great laterals and airtime that cant be found on a steel coaster.

Thats what I like.

Cornball Express, Hades, Shivering Timbers, most all new CCI's are very smooth and stay smooth if kept up. Also, Thunderhead and Ozark Wildcat are said to have quite nice airtime and are amazingly smooth, as smooth as steel. (Ive ridden Thunderhead, its for real - but havent ridden OW)

Shivering Timbers is smooth now? I heard it jackhammered pretty bad a couple years ago. If its smooth it must have some great airtime on the return run too... when it was rough I heard that there was only weak floater air on the final hills.

Its not original smooth, no. But there was only place I found to jackhammer and that was on a very sharp transition on the out run, one of the lower hills on the outrun that is.

Airtime coming back was all floater, nothing like the outrun but it wasnt bad. Frankly, I didnt find it that rough though there was room for improvement.

I Choose floorless...even though for me it's really a tie between B&M Floorless & B&M Inverteds....I Love Looping Coasters[:D]

I chose Giga becasue of SROS at SFDL. Its good[:D]

real, if you can, make a trip to branson to ride the wildcat. it is smooth as silk. and you have imo the best air time ever on a woodie of that lenght and height, ever. and while your in branson, go to SDC and ride wildfire and power keg, wildfire is an awesome beamer

I see I'm the first person to vote for B&M hyper. I've only been on one (Raging Bull) and it is my favorite steel coaster (aside from maybe TTD and MF). The best thing about this type of ride is the lap bars. I'm not sure about Apollo's Chariot but on Raging Bull there is no other seat belt. It is the most open and free I've ever felt on a coaster. Riding in the back seat down the first drop you could swear you're about to be shot right out of the ride.

I like Giga Coasters because there fast and tall.
