Yes, i know what you're thinking, jpecool, on RCT2??? Huh, since when has he made RCT stuff. lol. Well i have alot, just not uploaded it. But yesterday i was bored cos no one was coming out so i started my new project, called Willingham woods holiday resort.

So far i have the main road, car entrances, car parks, hotel parking, holiday cabins and holdiday cabins parking, tennis courts, and a small swimming pool all done. I am making this part in the scenario editor and i will make the theme park next door as you usually would. Sooo, time for some pics. remember i have only spent about 8 hours on this, so it isnt very good yet, and it is only the start of the resort.

Image

What i have done so far

Image

One of the 2 car park entrances

Image

1 of 2 main car parks, there is also a holiday cabin car park, and a hotel car park

Image

The tennis courts and fountain in the holiday cabin grounds

Image

Holiday cabin reception

Image

The holiday cabins and the grounds at the bottom left, the main road running through the middle, the main car parks and hotel parking nearer the top, and then the open areas of grass is where the theme park will begin.

Please tell me what you think so far. Give me adviuce on what you think i should do etc.
Thanks for your help

Well I don't have any advice for you jpe, cus I'm no RCT master, but what you have done so far looks fantastic I think. Those hotel and holiday cabin things look really nice and the tennis courts are a pretty wicked touch [lol]. I really like it, it should be a really amazing park if you put as much effort into the rest of it as you have put into that bit [;)]

Thanks man!! [:D] Ive just started the hotel, ive called it hotel william. Im gonna make a footy pitch in the back!! [:D] The hote is going to be the biggest thing in the park, well i mean the tallest thing on the skyline. Apart from the drop tower and giga coaster im planning. Im also planning a small rocket coaster and a few other coasters including 2 woodies, 1 B&M inverter, 1 B&m floorless, and a huge dark ride! The drop tower is also going to be partly in and partly outside a building. Anyway, i should have the hotel done in the next few days, maybe 4. Thats because i wont be on the comp much so wont get much time to make it. But im determined not to rush this project.

Yeah, don't rush it dude, everything in the park should be of the same quality as that stuff you've already made, that way it'll be a stunning park [:)]

Hahaha, I can't wait to see that footy pitch done! That'll be class to see, make sure you get it right [:P] .... it'll take up quite a lot of space though won't it? Unless you make a half sized pitch I guess.

^^^ No way, sorry hyyyper, it aint a six flags park!!!! Im making it a "beautiful" park, well thats what im hoping to do. All the tall structures are going to be themed nicely, to make it more attractive. This is going to be more like a disney park hopefully, with never ending amounts of themeing. But a disney park with more coasters [lol]

By the way, the park isnt that big, the grid is only 195 by 195, but i may extend the grid, but that means i will have to make a longer road etc, and it already took me ages. lol.

Oh BTW hyyyper, i forgot to say, instead of a coaster soaring over the car park, the hotel, the drop tower, and the giga at the back or side of the park will draw in the guests!!!!! [:D]

Thanks for the support you guys.

^ yeah sorry about that, i had to restart my computer and lost alot of stuff. I have only just re installed RCT2 in the last week, and havent bothered putting RCT3 on my computer since i had it last time, i then deleted it cos it was so slow. There is a RCT2 park of mine uploaded on this site, but it never worked for some reason. This one better do!!!!!!!! [lol]

EDIT: Okay, the hotel hasnt progressed much, i have just left it today due to coursework etc. I should do a bit of work on it tommorrow, and i will post pics most probably. So far i have the path up to the hotel, the entrance porch shelter corridor thing, and the base. I have it marked out where the main building will go, and i have it planned where the swimming pool is going, and the diving pool.

Gouldy, i dont wanna take up to much room with the hotel and stuff, so im afraid it will only be like a 5 a side footy pitch!!!! [V] Or maybe 2, theres an indoor one too, you just cant see it. LOL. oooo and a basketball court!

Looking very good BTW, but dont rush, I dont rush when I try to make my rct parks, but my problem seems to be the thememing, its very hard for me to make a proper themed park...I dont know why, but lets just say JPE that you gave me an idea to start another park, [;)]

The tower of hotel william standing high above the skyline! 15 Floors above the ground to be exact. This is only a tiny part of the hotel done, but i think it looks pretty good so far.

It depends on whether i can do it or not. Its alot harder building stuff up there. I might just have like a glass dome kind of thing on top, but it might look pretty crap.

Wahooooooooooooo hotel william is nearly finished. In fact the whole resort section excluding the theme park is nearly finished.

Here is a list of what is in the resort:
Main road
4 car parks, 2 for the park, 1 for the hotel, 1 for the holiday cabins

Holiday cabin resort:

6 luxury holiday cabins
holiday cabin reception
Seating area with fountain
1 swimming pool and jaccuzzi
2 tennis courts
car park

Hotel William resort:
Car park
Main entrance and entrance corridor
Hotel Block A and Hotel Block B (each section on the sides of the tower are different blocks)
Hotel tower block
Swimming pool
3 jacuzzis
3 diving boards
Childrens fun pool
2 tennis courts
Lots or trees!!!!! [:D]

Thats what i have so far. Here are some pics of the near finished hotel william. There are only a few finishing touches to be added, although i may decide to rebuild some of the balconies at the back.

Hotel william dominating the skyline, it is much bigger than anything else so far!

Please please please tell me what you think. I also need some advice from you guys on what i should include in the actual theme park, so that it would be a real cool park that we would all enjoy! [:D] I am hoping to enter this into the vacation parks competition on RCT2.com, theres no way i will win as they are all outstanding designers, but it is a comp i would like to take part in, as finally my RCT2 is actually working.

Please tell me what you think so far!
Thanks

Hey it looks like you got your hands full JPE, but TBH I dont have any suggestions, my only comment is that the park looks amazing, if you want some tips, then contact zephyr, he looks like a superb builder...but it looks very good, and I hope you stick out this project because this park looks amazing so far, just wish I could make themeing as good you [;)]

I don't know anything else except that I hope that you are doing a really realistic park which includes also boring rides, like Shoot the Chutes.

As you said something should be done with those balconies in the back. Now it just looks like one big balcony. Except for that ir looks pretty good. Now lets see some rides!

^^^ Yeah ive never done a hotel before, so i struggled with the balconies. Well actually thats a lie, just after the skull island contest i was making a huge park called Sapphire Springs amusement resort, very much like this one and it had a hotel and everything. It was the best park i ever made, it had a huge stadium with a pirate show, and a 300 foot giga coaster called gravity max. I got the whole resort done, and half of the park finished, but my computer crashed and i lost everything. I lost that park, and all my others. I also cant play huge RCT2 files for some reason. Any park over 10Mbs large totally crashes my RCT2, i think i need new drivers, im not sure how to sort it.

Like i said i might rebuild them balconies, they look really bad, but to be honest, i cant do that sort of thing at all. I just want to get on with the park soon. Thats the thing im doing it for obviously, so this bits just a pain in the ass.

I don't know anything else except that I hope that you are doing a really realistic park which includes also boring rides, like Shoot the Chutes.

When you see the shoot the chutes in my park hopefully you wont think that. [:D]

New pictures - not much more has happened, but i have transferred to building the start of the park now.

The new balconies. These are gonna stay now. I dont like them much but i cant make anything nicer without having to build that half of the hotel again!
