Well, saturday i'm going to the efteling with some relatives that flew over from australia, and i'm going to make 4 onrides there:
python, pegasus, bobbaan and vogelrock, and i hope, once put together with some other efteling shots, wws will accept it....
anyways, the efteling is a hugely themed amusement park with 4 coaster, very much themed 'touring' rides and a large "Ferry Tale Forrest".....

Nice, only how are you going to make an onride of Vogelrok?
It's very dark, and your not allowed to use any lights, not even from your camera...
Anyway, have fun in the Efteling and please make some shots of the "Flying Dutchman" construction area! :)

hey hyyyper, good luck by not getting caught [:D] Let's see: action photo locations:
bobbaan: After the final mcbr(i'd think the 3rd) just after the turn.
Python: Halfway in the helix.
Pegasus: doesn't has one as far as i know.
vogelrok: Somewhere [:D] But before the 2nd lift i'd guess...
As you see lots of rides has onride photo's, so your head get's snapped with your camera on board. Not always a smart move but you can try. Also asking the ride opp just to take your camera with you is sometimes a smart move. Just ask them and if the say yes. Just take it on it and take it with you relaxed. Or else your Hyyypering of like quickly putting off and act like you just enjoy the ride.
Take your own choice but make sure you shoot also some offride footage and not just only onride [;)] Also don't put only the extreme rides on it. Add also some other rides. [:)]

Efteling is a nice park. I was there in 1998, and it doesn't look like it has changed much since then. Python actually was my first "real" coaster. Have fun!

Why you aren't allowed to make onrides in the Efteling? I come there every week and I make a onride sometimes and I've never had any comment. Only at Bird Rok (Vogel Rok) they said to me that it had to be filmed without a light of the camera.

And about Efteling's new ride for the 2006 season: The name is gonna be 'De Vliegende Hollander' (The Flying Dutchman - not the Vekoma Coastertype [;)] ) Nobody knows exactly what's it gonna be for type of attraction. There are some rumours saying that KumbaK Coasters (www.kumbakcoasters.nl) builds the ride system.

vogelrok: Somewhere But before the 2nd lift i'd guess...

Since when has Vogel Rok a second lift [:O] it's a MCBR [;)]

Also, tomorrow is the new horecaspot 'de Kombuys' going to be opened around the clock of eleven A.M. ;)

And like Dirk already said, put also some footage of the Darkrides (Droomvlucht - Fata Morgana) in the video. With this weather you can also make some fun footage in the Pira?????????a (RiverRapid). [:)]

Eftelist say's it's gonna be a Mack Watercoaster,
and the prototype is Atlantica Supersplash @ Europa Park [:D]

That are just rumours. Efteling didn't confirm anything, only the name of the ride in a magazine for the staff of Efteling. I've heard that a staffworker of Efteling had said that. It's just the personnel of Efteling, and they don't know it, because the Efteling tells nothing about this ride to anybody, even the staff!

Are you kiddin'? A lot of infrastructure has changed since then. The Pardoes Promenade, the Brink and a lot of squares are changed. The BoB has also new vehicles since this season. There are also rumours that the train of the Python will be replaced next week with a new Vekoma Type train with a custom bodywork. So, there are a lot of changes since then and they're still changing!

Making a onride is always on own risk, in every park, in every country. TIP: make sure you tight your camera good on your hand in the Python and hold it with two hands. The little hill after the two loops can be dangerous with a camera in your hand [;)] Also, IF personnel says you may not make a onride, respect that and don't do it sneaky, people who do that sneaky are often dangerous busy. (in Dutch: mensen die het stiekem doen zijn soms heel gevaarlijk bezig, dus doe dat dan ook niet als er gezegd wordt dat het niet mag)

Yeah, even at the parks that don't let you, if you sneek your camera on, its at your own risk. But let me tell you, I'd rather risk my property and be able to blame myself than give it to them, and not having anyone to blame at all!

You guys don't get it do you?
I've mailed the park with the question if it was allowed to make onrides...
they said it was allowed but if you drop the camera, it;s your own stupid fault

I meant coaster-wise. They have added the bob, and changed some stuff. But it isn't much consider it's 7 years ago. Other themeparks has evolved much more since then.

I get it, but there are sometimes employees of the Efteling who won't let you make a onride and asking you to put the camera away [;)] that's reason why I said that.

Have fun today and I'm looking forward for the pictures and the movie of today.

Yeah, in that point of view they didn't changed alot. I agree in that. But Efteling is a park who's still on his own and not part of a group (like SixFlags - Tussauds), so they have some less money to spend on new attractions. But the target of Efteling is to open every 4 years a very big new attraction and in the meanwhile some minor attractions (like FairyTales in the Fairy Tale Forest)
