Still considering my computer freezes if I build a park, I see no point to the expansion.

The Roller Coaster Tycoon series is on the verge of death in my opinion. It lost its magic back when WW was released, and ever since, the rest of the series hasn't captured my heart like RCT and RCT 2. They either have a lot of nothing (WW,TT), or nothing at all (RCT 3). Oh well, Atari will probally keep destroying the series until its beyond fixing.

from what I spotted on another forum, there's a ride list of what exactly we'll be getting in this pack. Before I show the pic of what we have in the game, I tried going to Target earlier but they didn't have any shipments yet. None at gamestop either. I'll just pick it up at my local wal mart/wally world this weekend. Anyway, here's what they've packed in this. Sorry if I spoiled any surprises for anyone =)

On another note, I found this interesting. http://www.gamestop.com/product.asp?coo ... Fid=646220
I was reading some other forums that this may be a safari type expansion. pack (probably zoo animal exhibits and stuff like that)

zoo tycoon meets roller coaster tycoon! [:D]
Your screenshot is missing a couple of rides, but I like how you can actually build a rocket coaster now, and not some crappy TTD or Kingda Ka

^The toilet bowl seems to be missing unless the Tornado can also be set to a bowl element instead of the tilted funnel.

I think the focus should be on improving the game, not adding stupid things like waterpark and zooes. I'm all for the coasters and the park itself. But I don't play rct3 anyways, so why care;)

Why don't you guys email them what you want for the game? One person asking for realistic coasters won't do much good. Waterparks are good to add since they're fairly common, but zoos are just plain stupid.

Some parks have zoo's though, and I'm sure RCT wants to cover every possible type of amusement park.

Curse EBGames...I stopped by there today on my home from college and asked the workers if they had the RCT3 expansion. The guy looked at me dumbfounded like "WTF are you talking about" and said "Uh...we don't have an expansion for it. We only have this." and points to a used beat up RCT3 box. They should atleast be aware of what's coming out being as they work for a game store. Oh well.

As for the zoo idea for RCT3, they could probably use SFMW and Sea World for some good examples for this feature.

I got the soaked expansion pack today it I got it at my local wal mart it a relly good game it is better then the rct2 expansion packs there is relly good rides in this expansion pack. I stoped at my local ebgames store and they din'nt have it so i called walmart and one walmart din'nt know what I was taking about and sad that it sold out weeks ago so I called another local walmart and they had it in stock so i got there for $27.95 plus sales taks so it coast $31.25. I think that you should buy it at wal mart inside of ebgames becuse they will charge for for it there the price at ebgames is $35.00 so call you local wal mart to see if they have it.

I should join the comp, once I get the game of course. RCT3 coasters are easy to design. Of course, they don't give a crap about custom supports so I don't have to spend time on that, making it even easier. But then there's the theming to take care of and what not.

Themings easy though, it takes a grand total of 1-2 hours on just about any size coaster.

Just got Soaked. Some initial comments are:

1) The frame rate is significantly improved.

2) The water park addition is OK, but a bit cumbersome to implement and build.

3) Additional coasters and ride are OK, but not great.

4) Themeing is much broader.

5) Polygon issues throughout, hopefully to be fixed in first patch.

I would recommend this just for the improvement in frame rate. It will be interesting to see if this pack causes a resurgance in RCT3's popularity on this site.

Just some thoughts.

for the contest, You don't need to buy the game. Go to www.hersheys.com and then go the the link. The contest IMO sucks! They give you a free download of the Coaster Editer, and you get in and there is one coaster type avalible. Steel Looping! ugh . anyway, i love the game. the water park idea is really fun to work with.

Do they give you any scenery to use? If they don't, it's going to be pretty easy. This contest appears to be for n00bs.

That gives me an idea. They're probably thinking of "bigger is better", but you have to manage to get the excitement rating up. Heh, I could use block brakes to launch the train up fast enough and use a few cheats for the speed and height.

You should build a stupid strata coaster as high as possible (using the john wardley cheat) and make the launch speed to a few thousand mph and see how he reacts.
