I've already read all there is to the book on cg2.org. It's still not enough for me to fully know how to create certain elements. For instance, I use the helix formula for a lot of stuff as it suggests to. To make a hill turn, I am using slope as the turn. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to control the pitch any more with the Helix formula. I also cannot find any other Elementary tutorials. If anyone knows of any other tutorials, or the solution to my problem (if you know what I'm talking about), please help me out.

Thanks,
Gotenks06. [8D]

You may run into some more information over on Coastersims.com ... as most of the "elementary experts" are there, but Tyler here (if you send him a nice PM) may be able to assist as well.

Hahaha, okay. I wonder when that book will be finished...it's awesome so far. Do most of you Elementary users build a lot off of the helix formula, or did I take it the wrong way to use it to shape the drops, upwards helix thingy that's more of a hill than turn, and pretty much everything?

H-Sak mostly, you can build a whole ride with that thing.

yeah, exept the straight pieces of my contest track every element is made out of the h-sak formula. You just have to figure out which numbers you have to change to get the element you want.

Okay, I'm really new to this, but what exactly is H-Sak? Is that the Helix.eformula thing, or am I missing something? That's the only formula I have (other than the wizards)...

h-sak is the helix-swiss army knife formula. it'S the one that don't come with the elementary already. you can download it at the nolimitsdevelopment center. I was new to this thing to but the tutorial from tyler really helped me a lot and now I really succed in building with the elementary. so if you have a question maybe pm me and I'll see what I can do. but also notice that I live in germany. so don't woder if my answer will take some time.

Ah, yes, that's what I've been using and calling the "Helix formula." I also read what Tyler has in his tutorial so far. I'm having trouble controlling the pitch better though. It seems to have a predefined radius. I want to control how it turns laterally and vertically. Is that possible? It seems like it should be pretty common to me.

FYI -- My last four posted coasters have been directly built from Elementary using the h-sak formula ... heh ... then they get a dose of the AHG and awaaaaaaaaaaaaaay we go!
