Has anyone ever been on this ride? It looks really odd. It would have to have a launch at the very bottom of the loop and a brake before the sharp turn. The station is really unique, since it is banked and curved. The spaced-out train looks really crazy. It's the most pointless, cool-looking ride I've ever seen![8D] It's too bad they aren't still made.

The Lasso Loop was sold to Dutch Showman Leon Snep who is scheduled to operate it as "2 Fast 2 Furious" at several Dutch fairs during the 2005 season. (RCDB)

Leon Snep is getting this ride renovated at the moment. It was scheduled to come at the fair in Best (Netherlands) this week, where he would ride his first rounds on a funfair. Unfortunately, the coaster isn't ready at the moment. (some tests aren't finished yet) So probably his first fair will be Tilburg (mid-end July)

On the website of Leon Snep (http://www.magicfair.nl/) stands a concept art of the refurbished train:

http://www.magicfair.nl/projects/2fast2furious.htm

About the ride: the train swings slowly until he can go thru the loop. The train goes a few times through the loop and comes to a stop at the same way as he accelerated.

I wonder why the cars are seperated?

I've heard that there were some problems with a car and for the balance other cars were removed too. I don't know for sure.

Oh man, i have seen one of these rides working before. When i went on Holiday to greece one year, there was an amusement park near by and this was the main attraction. The loop is very tall. I was going on it, but i was too small so wasnt allowed, but my parents friends got on and said it was fun. I will try and find some pictures of it, i have quite a few somewhere.

The ride actually goes backwards and forwards through the loop. It goes out of the station forwards, gets part way up the loop, rolls back, and gets just over half way through the other side of the loop backwards, then goes forward through the station at high speed and goes all the way through the loop, and repeats the procedure going backwards. It does look alot of fun, and the turns seem to have high Gs aswell.

Im off to find them pics now. I will post them if i get them, i know i have them somewhere.
