The day started off great:
I ended up waiting 30 mins for my friends to show up...ah well. Onto the coasters!
Demon: 3 rides
It's losing its touch. It's getting bumpier and worse and worse. Although the tree surroundings are cool, the theme still doesn't match in with the red spotlights etc. No major complaints, but it was noticable at night. Choosing a seat made a big change actually, if you're in the back seat of a car, it's more bumpy and jerky, while the front was a bit better. The back of the train had more air on the first drop, and it was less jerky over the loops. Still, if I weren't looking for such things, you wouldn't have noticed too much. The line was actually pretty long, and the zig zag queue was open. The morning wasn't busy at all though. Simply put: the ride is average, slowly falling apart perhaps. 6.5/10.
Drop Zone: 1 ride
Intamin goodness. It's actually pretty busy throughout the day. We got one ride on this beast. Great stuff, except you're thrown into the harness when it starts dropping. Not much else to say, unless you're in need of some waking up. 8.5/10
Grizzly: 1 ride
Falling apart. That's all I've to say. Although I never banged my elbow, it would hurt a ton to make that mistake. While in the air the ride is smooth (lateral airtime yayness!), you can't deny the track's bumpiness and it's desperate need of some good retracking. 7/10 at the most.
Top Gun: 2 rides
Getting a bit more jerky...but still very nice of course! My first ride took me by surprise: the corkscrew hurt, and even worse, the b&m traditional dip also did! The reason was because we were in the back. Our last ride of the park was also Top Gun. This time...a front ride without my glasses! (i swear im freaking blind without them...and it was night) Simply put: beautiful. The jerks were ironed out or something. My best ride on it yet...and the best of the day!
Back seat: 7/10
Front seat: 9/10
Vortex: 1 ride
Not bad....but not good. Loading was actually rather quick today, and it didn't get stuck at the top (major wootness)! It was jerky overall, but then again, it is aging slowly. I tried a major stunt: I tried sitting down...me being so small of course. After the loop, i decided it wasn't a good idea...silly me! There's not much to say. It's short, tacky, and the cork broke my neck or something. It gives you a headache. 6/10
Overall the day kicked ass. Except for the continuous headache from jetlag...(omg....delayed at HEATHROW out of all places....)
So har.
