Yes theres a website with a load o our tracks on. Matt linked me to it just now, and half of our exchange is on there. [lol]

check this out
http://vin.dupont.free.fr/Download/tracks/download1.htm

Since when do i upload my rides on a french website. Check some other pages. Bobcoaster, do you speak french??? Barone, do you? Pinhead, Buster, E man, Topdrag... The list goes on. And thats only on the first 2 pages. Someone is stealing some of our tracks from this site and coastersims. [:(!][:(!][:(!] Now how would all of us be uploading on that crappy little site. I know for difinate im not and my latest track is on there. [:(!]Just wanted you too see this. Its pretty funny actually, but just annoying that people are stealing our tracks.

EDIT: Argh scroll through loads of the pages and look, it is WWS and coastersims basically. More people: Real your on there, Dirk, OMG so many [:O]

This is a direct violaton of copyright laws on this site and coastersims.com. I cannot speak for coastersims.com but we have not permitted any tracks uploaded here to be used on other sites without speaking to the user first. This is a sueable offence. WeeWeeSlap will have to deal with this case later

OOOO how much do you reckon you could get for that???? I thought this migt be against that as when ever you register with an exchange site it says once you upload the track it belongs to WWS.com and they have the right to do any thing they want with it. And im also guessing that means no one can take anything off of WWS that has been uploaded by a user, as that belongs to WWS. So publishing it without WWS's permission is against the lw like you say.

Interesting.

Thunderhead falls by Phyter is on there too, which is IMO the best nolimits ride ever made.

Thats up to WWS to decide

Also we have literaly hundreds of exclusive POV's building up in the catalogue for WWS.Com, i believe just about every ride in California has been captured by WWS now

I tell you what you could do to raise money. With all this footage you have now, you could make a DVD or something and sell it, im sure quite a few people would buy one.

^ Thats what I keep saying! [lol] But I don't think your "legally" allowed to sell it unless you pay the people's whose music your using some money, so we can hand it out for free if they donate a certain ammount of money![lol]

Anyways, about the site, I am offend that they didn't use any of my POS, I say sue him that $400 you need.

the cool, what if we didnt use music, or IF we used crappy music that some of us made [lol] Or im sure someone would have a friends band who would love the chance for some of their music to be put on a DVD. [:D] Just small bands. Like school rock bands, they can be really good, and wouldnt need paying. [:D] And then some of us could do like talking interviews at parks, say if me and gouldy and edge did some stuff and info at alton towers and other Uk parks and your lot do some stuff at american parks. It could be good.

Do any of you have the "Front seat thrills" coaster DVDs, i have both and we could do something like that to raise money for the site. [:D]

lol...jpecool, it would be awesome to just walk up to someone after a ride and interview them. i'd do it! as for music, i could record some random crap off a keybord. and they only parks i can hit to interview people or get POVs would be SFOT, SFGA, SFFT, SFFT, and Hershy Park. so sign me up!![:)]

But with the site, i've seen some stuff like this, but not as bad. It's kinda funny how they actually used people's names so that if anyone managed to get to the site, they'd think it's you and not bother.

^^ its just the french that gave it away. I can speak french, not fluently, but i can kinda, but i know i didnt upload there and my track was there so that gave it away. Thanks to matt for finding it. [:D] I think WWS should consider doing this DVD thing you know. I would interview people too. We could also record ourselves talking about the ride etc. It would be cool. Us lot could do it on the alton towers meet up, if we actually wanted to do this DVD thing.

i'd think that guy at least had to contact us before putting our rides on his site. Let's see if i can find some contact information and ask some questions... Let's see if he will answer them...

Well he'll almost certainly lie. Mind you, what could he say? Meh, whatever, it was a rediculous idea to steal the tracks anyway.

Also, Jpe, didnt remember me this time did you, tutut. I would do that sort of thing as well, it'd be a good laugh.

Well, I did not see any of mine there so I am not sure if I should be upset (lol) -- but there is one thing for certain. WHOMEVER runs that site seems to be a fan of either stolen tracks, or complete pieces of feces. The tracks on there are either stolen or crap, plain and simple.

wierd. kindof cool in a way, but we all gave permission to wee wee slap to post our rides here, and not them. they stole from this site, not from the builders of the individual rides. on the other hand as this is the internet our tracks may fall into the territory of public domain, in this case any other site who wished to post them can just go ahead and do so. i'll bet that one could find a way to calculate the estimated advertising revenues lost by people getting these rides somewhere else. they should be told to stop, if thats what wws wants to do... or not, if it isn't really a big deal... stealing is BAD though...

I agree, since this is the Internet, It's pretty much public domain unless you have to pay to use the tracks. but like jayman said, something should be done about it :/. Is funny how stupid some people are XD
