'Hot Coffee' is Gamers Doom!!! GTA:SA is AO!

If you haven't heard already, Hillary Clinton is attacking video games due to the outbreak of 'Hot Coffee' in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. Supposively, on the PC version there is a hidden mini-game where you and your girlfriend have sex. Now you press buttons and the analog stick to change positions and do certain 'activities' with your girlfriend while trying to raise her excitement meter.

Who's to blame? No one knew, it could of been the kid who found it out first, or Rockstar (creators of the GTA franchise) slid it in there. But while using the Action Replay (game-shark type thing for PS2, used for cheats) a gamer found that there was a cheat to turn the 'Hot Coffee' on and off. Now, the Action Replay CAN NOT add mod's into the game, so this had to have been coded into the game by Rockstar.[;) Trust me, to code something like that would take FOREVER, plus illegal.

ESRB are the people who rate games, and it is required and a fellany that every game coming out must send a video of the most graphic, violent, sexual images in the game to them so they can rate it, and it Rockstar hid 'Hot Coffee', then say good-bye to GTA.

So what's the consequence? Hillary clinton wants a new law passed saying that any Mature rated game will be changed to Adults Only(most stores are forbiddon to carry titles with that rating) and that will definetly hurt the sales of video games. Also, there are rumors floating around that any store that sells a Mature rated game to a minor under 17 will recieve a $5,000 fine. Protests have started, so go to your local game store and...do something protesty...[:p]

Games with a M rating should be fined for selling to minors. Im sick of playing Halo and Halo 2 only to have little kids on their mics cussing when I kill them.

An adult? thats fine. But kids are another story. Plus when I have others over to play it (some under 17) I dont want them hearing that so I have to plug in my mic and turn the sound of the voices off of the TV. Its pathetic.


I personally think there should be some way to keep kids from playing M rated games.

I know what you're talking about. X-Box Live is full of kids that think cussing is cool, and sexual humor is the best. I've heard some pretty...nasty things. But as the once very strange personality of Boobzooka said, "If you're going to get a bj and play video games at the same time, then there's something wrong with your sex life. If you're going to do it, do it in BED!"

And I know retailers have already started using the M rating to the max, like the time I bought God Of War for my 15 year old brother, they ranted at me how there is a small Sex Mini-Game and loads of violence, so I wanted to play it, but mom would get pissed if I exposed him to that. They also did that to me with GTA, Silent Hill 3, and Resident Evil 4, even though I'm over the 17+ threshold. I'm glad to see restriction...but not on every M rated game.

Kids aren supposed to play M rated games anyway. Its not really a problem around here, me and my friends have tried to buy something rated 18 before and have got turned away. Alcohol's the worst thing here. Theres not really a person i know that cant say they havent been drunk and me and my friends are only 14. I dont think games are the biggest problem, they should be tackling other things before.

Rockstar are quite irresponsible IMO. I love their games, including all the GTAs. But they are making a bad name for themselves. But then again this bad name is making them popular with younger people, so is making them rich. This is what i think is the problem. So something along the lines of what you have said would probably help the situation.

meh, there's kids that are over the age of 17 that still cuss you out, thats why on the ratings, they say game experience may change on line, its like that on T rated games too! In the words of Matt Stone and Trey Parker,

there are some 14 years olds that are totally mature of enough to see one of our movies (or play an M rated game) and then there are some 25 year olds that are mature at all.

As for Adults only, that's rediculous. I think that they should just keep tighter control on games with sexual content, and look into them deeper. And they should review the game more, and hack it and everything to find every content the game displays.

Hell no, smoking is by far the worst thing. I apoloigise if any smokes here, but i really dispise it. It pisses me off to see someone smoking in public and is only worse when waiting in line at a theme park to have someone light up in front of you.

Also what is with the retard kids that smoke, i was out playing tennis the other day when some kids, honestly no older than 12 ask me for a cigarette...really disgusting and dumb

Well, ESRB requires that all content, hidden or unlockable, be exposed on a tape sent in so they can rate the game. If someone fails to do so, they go under a law suit and the game itself is restricted from local retailers and movie/game renting areas.

As for smoking 12 year olds, I just can't wait to him have a smoker's voice when he's 16...[;)] And smoking isn't allowed in the lines for rides I go on, but if it was...I'd smack 'em or something.

I personally don't like video games unless they're racing games, and even then I don't play online cause some of the maturity levels of people are rediculously low.

And about the smoking> most disgusting habit in the world, anyone who smokes here needs to go flush every pack they have down the toilet and get a smokers help line. I was at a church lock in once, and we had a kid visit us from the deliquent center for community service or something. The next morning he set the smoke alarams off cause he was smoking french cigars, two packs of cigaretts and marajuana, it was gross.

^ Either smack them or kick from behind right behind thier knee so they fall and can't get up. Then their cigarette stabs them in an eye instantly blinding them.

The esrb has gotten tighter lately, the super smash bros series were part of it, not to mention star fox assault, and in RCT3, they probably didn't make the guests drownable because of the esrb. If it continues at this rate, RCT4 could be rated T without any form of peep abuse.

But the GTA devs have just gone overboard with this, it's just plain wrong.

Im quite aware that adults cuss all the time. It doesnt make it right, but its expected. I know that the gameplay may change, Ive been playing online games since 98. So Im quite aware of the content, its just silly when little kids are trying to act like adults.

Has anyone actualy seen the pictures of the 'hot coffee' no? Because its lame, i mean the characters are fully clothed, plus it just some friggin polygons, what the hell is the big deal? People just seem to care so much over nothing these days. Trust me, you are not making it a better community by trying to ban thrings from public sight

I play Halo alot and im 15, but never on Xbox live, Just with my friends on one box. We dont cuss.

Thats what I think, and it annoys the hell out of me when people start talking smack about other people, when the whole purpose of the game is to have fun.

I've actually played the Hot Coffee mod just to see what it is. And I have three things to say:

The sex in Hot Coffee is kinky, but not as bad as some stuff I've seen for the sims that's been released (www.pandorasims.net)

But sense it is Grand Theft Auto and the fact that Grand Theft Auto is always in the news...and if there is sex in GTA...it is going on the news.[;)]

And probably Far Cry on PC has some really retarded 15 year olds on it...stuff about dirrty sex acts while playing the game.[V]

It is now official. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas will be revoked from gaming store shelves and given the evil Adults Only rating. The game will also be sold now as an edited version without Hot Coffee is hitting stores soon. Plus, Rockstar has lost around $5 mil. due to the conflict with GTA:SA. This could be Rockstar's future downfall on the Grand Theft Auto series.

yeah, I can't believe its AO, its so gay. oh and the sex is in PC, Xbox and PS2 versions. anyone know where I can still buy the PS2 version? stores have stopped selling it, and I don't want it after they edit the game back down to M, that version will suck

what? It's the same thing, except without the hot coffe section. The haveing 2 versions of the game is not a new idea, this one game has an M rated version and an AO version out, although I've only been able to find the AO version out at fry's, so if you want the AO version of GTA, go to fry's!

I look at this, and I still think your wrong, maybe they should be sued if they sell an AO game to a minor, but in most cases a 16 year old and an 18 year old aren't that much different in maturity level than each other, so thats sort of rediculous, the difference? One's legally and adult and one is not. Sure there as some extremely mature 18 year olds, along with that, you can say the same about some 14 year olds, and there are also some extremely immature 20 year olds, so you know, i don't think you should get fined for selling an M rated title to a minor, after all that's the suggested age not the requirement[;)] Unlike AO which it is the requirement.
