I tested the water mesh idea. It doens't seem to work unless you make it really really big and at a high elevation, not enough room for you to build.

I can't think of any other solution than to use the teratexturing method and the 3ds terrain. Just use the teraformer to convert it to 3ds.

Really, the devs of nl should've made a beter way to blend the background. All that testing was a big pain in the ass.

Then use free nodes and 3ds footers. Don't forget the trees [lol]

Yes, I know, it's a pain to have to place them as 3ds and crap, I guess you'll have to stick to other methods then. Hopefully, ole will fix the background issues and have it blend correctly.

Edit: There's another approach I thought of. It involves wasting polygons unfortunately, but I think it might work. Use the water teratexture but leave the terrain intact, convert it to a 3ds and place the 3ds over it as if it were a blanket, and don't leave too much room between the actual terrain. The 3ds can be textured the way you need it to.

The old teraformer. Look around your NL folder (under the update folder). If you bought NL 1.5 or 1.55 directly then you'll have to find it at coastercandy. http://d1jlserver.dnsalias.net/CCDev2/p ... gories.cfm
