Hello all. If you've read FN's Track Tennis post you'll have an idea what this is about. If not, here's a brief overview.

Essentially, the idea is that we create a community RCT 2 project between any memebers interested in doing so. So far, rules have not been set down, but if i get enough interest, we'll discuss them in another topic. For now, anyone interested in the idea of an RCT2 community park answer. If you want to do it in RCT 3, there's another topic around here somewhere.

So, who's interested, anyone at all, even you closet RCT2ers (gouldy, i'm pointing at you)? Please post you're answer and reason in this topic. I think about 6 minimum would do, but preferably more, if possible.

I think we'll stay away from custom scenery, but that'll be the decision really of whoever decides to create the original scenario.

Good response so far, looks promising.

I think it should be only in-game scenery with maybe some simple cutsom roofs.

I'll certainly sign up.

I think custom/plug-in scenery should be allowed.

I'd be happy to join too...despite my limited RCT2 abilities, I can still build a pretty mean flat ride lol

Did you know that custom senery is exported automaticly? Under options, there is a button to export custom data with the saved game file. This does not work, however, on the expansion pack data, for there is some sort of code that won't allow it. That means you'll have to be up to date with the expansion packs. All two of them.

I think we should also stick to rct2 alone and not TT and WW because some ppl don't have them, and we can't make them buy it, however, if every joining member has them, i see no problem

^ Hes right. Custom scenery can be exported easily. And that means people without custom scenery will gain the custom scenery that we include in the parks. The custom scenery allows alot more options when building buildings. I dont think i could make a park anymore without using custom scenery.

Anyway carlosio, i would be interested too!!! [:D]

yeah I know it is exported, but IMO a lot of the custom scenery is realy bad.

But wee should definiatly stick to rct2, and not the crappy expansion packs. They are realy bad, and not everyone has them.

Yeah, we're not using the expansion packs, they're a waste of time and money, and the scenery is all pretty crap too. We can use whatever custom scenery is put into the starting scenario however. By the way, are there any volunteers for creating said scenario, as i don't want to be deciding what the scenery is. I think someone like Jpe would be a good candidate for this, if he is willing to do so.

Ah, hyyyper trying to sound important and intelligent. Yes, it's ok with Edge-y, and unless he holds no authority in terms of the site then it's all fine. Pfft, just because my post count is only 100 doesn't mean i don't know the site. I've been here long enough to know the rules, and i believe, longer than you.

BTW, congrats on your 1000th post.

I will eagerly create the scenario. That is, if you only want terrain, a couple rides, a small coaster, and some scenery.

Do you want money? If so how much? And what about park size etc.? I already have a 150x150 park made with a castle for the entrance, some food stalls, a few rides, and couple small coasters. Pics if you want.

no money of course. Also the one who make the scenario shouldn't build any coasters or anything. We don't do that before the match begins[;)] How about one people have to sign up for the match. Then one make the scenario, and then pass it around to everyone taht signed up. So everyone agree that they have the scenery they need.

You don't need to do that; scenery is exported. I'll get pics of y park; I think it will make a good startting point.

i'd wait with that poohblah, we first need a game refferee, and a place to upload, which IMO could be best at NLDC

well, i'll do the ref thing if no one has any objections or better ideas, which you should do, i'm awful (btw hyyyper, no offence meant, i was just kidding around. Loving the sarcasm though)

What x means is that we should all decide on what scenery is to be included in the scenario. I don't have any objections provided it's decent stuff. No rides should be included before we start and it should be unlimited money. They're my first three rules. Anything else to add. I'll start a new topic soon, anyone who wants to get involved pm me so that i can get a list together and organise who is involved. That way we can get to work on the terrain asap.
