If you make an environment you can't terraform or add trees.
If you add trees you can't terraform or make an environment.
If you add more terraforming, you can't make an environment or add trees.
You also can't move trees as that would be changing what someone did on a previous turn.

Does changing terrain textures count as changing the env or terrain? What about the water? I want to switch it to 3ds water since it looks better. (not going to affect any water levels except maybe remove a few bodies of water, there's too many.)

Edit: I'm not bothering with the grass anymore, it looks good the way it is.

Edit: Instead of making an env, I'm going to add some rocks 3ds. They are going to be small objects (like trees), can I spread them across the map? I already did the water adjustments.

Yes, you can spread some rock objects over the terrain.

Can other users (like those who add trees) add the rocks? (I'm about to upload it)

Should I save it as (the file name) toomanycooks-v21?

Edit: It's been uploaded. Plus I get the honor of uploading the first nlpack for this! (not really)

I can make a cartexture right? I mean, ragan chose the car's colors, so it would sorta be modifying what he did...

Not really as long as you keep the alpha in the cartexture.

OK, I was just going to make a design on the front anyway so with the program I'm using it shouldn't affect anything at all.

If your image editor cannot use alpha, then just color it so that it matches the current colors. (I'm not sure it would really matter that much anyways)

My image editor can use alpha.

One question though: do PNG files have an alpha feature? Last time I tries to use it with .TGA files and the results were terrible, so I would like to use .PNG files because those worked for me.

Yes, png's support alpha.

For tga's, adobe photoshop won't work with importing alpha in them so I have to use png's. (but png's can be read by windows and are compressed, the game sometimes doesn't seem to be able to read compressed tga's)

^I don't think you can switch the image format of the cartextures? For the newer .png textures you don't need to use an alpha channel as you can just leave the unused portions transparent.

Sorry for the delay. Had a long, long night [lol]!
Coasteragent adds some new scenery!

Track is ready for the next participant!

And if you only add track, just upload the track file, not the entire trackpack.

that makes no sense to me man. that would mean that i would have to download all the previous versions of the track. i dont understand that.

Yes, you will have to download all the previous uploaded versions with 3ds objects or textures added to the track. There is really no point in uploading the same thing each turn. Waste of space.
If you download each turn anyways, it shouldn't be a big deal.

Well, for those people I will be noting which turns are required to download to have all the required objects and textures.

Maybe once every certain number of turns we can pack it up and update the pack, having both seperate.

But glad to be the first one to use 3ds, so I wouldn't have to DL anything else. [:)]

Yeah, that would be possible. Every 5 turns that 3ds is added would be appropriate I think.

This doesn't make any sense dude... it would be so much easier if you just re-packed everything each time. There'd be no risk of losing somebody's work along the lines and really, I don't see any downfalls.

And if I'm not mistaken, Fornie hasn't passed the last turn or it hasn't been turned it yet.

Edit: Nevermind. I found it. I would go but just don't have time. Sorry.

Agreed. (I'd offer to go again, forn, if you don't mind a slight break in the rules [:)] )

Oh yeah, it's possible some idiot could just go there and upload something there and it shows up, even if it hasn't been proved yet.

WIP!!!

When I load the coaster in the editor, it says that some objects can't be found. But there is only one .nlpack file in the Dev Center.

Ok, I'm done, but I just want to make sure it's okay with Fornication that I made a cartexture since ragan chose the colors. I kept the colors but added a splash design to the front which takes up about half of the nose.
