    Questions & Answers

If you have any questions you can post them in this topic. I will answer your question A.S.A.P. Your question and the answer will be posted under this header.

Q: Can I use NL tools to make the track?
A: Yes. All tools are allowed.

Q: Can I submit more than one version of a track?
A: Yes. As long as it is sent through e-mail, you can re-submit as often as you like. But once you post your track on the exchange, it will be accepted as your final design and cannot be re-submitted.

Q: Can we move the station?
A: Yes, you can put the station anywhere

Q: Can the track touch the rings?
A: Yes, the track can touch the rings as long as the coaster riders remain safe.

Q: If the track goes through the same ring twice, does it count as 1 or 2 ring passes?
A: Just one. You have to go through 7 unique rings, not just pass through a ring 7 times

    few questions,

are we allowed to use more than one lift or launch?

And, do the rings have to pass the tunnel test? or do we just have to get the track through the rings?

[lol], nope, I never edited my post. I did download the template after I made that post however, and if I do say so myself, BLOODY HELL! I was horrified at first because I hadn't read the rules yet, I thought we had to go through all of the rings and I thought I was gonna be here forever getting a layout down, but we only have to go through 7, so thats a relief [lol].

I do have one question though, does it count if its the station that goes through one of the rings?

edit: can we delete the rings that we don't use, so that the coaster does not collide with them?

Yes. As long as the track goes through, it counts.

Sorry about the endless amount of posts i am making in this topic, but will i get marked down for 5.1 gs??? I know many fairground coasters have over that so i think that would be okay, but i just wanted to check. Its felt right at the first drop. It goes from -0.8 to 5.1 eeeeeeeeek.

Does it matter if part of your track hits a ring, rather than goes through it?? I mean it obviously wont count as going through a ring, but would it be alright?

^ I need to know the answer to that question too [lol]

Honestly, I can say mine is looking pretty damn sweet already, I'm aready through 4 rings and I haven't even got to the chainlift yet [lol]

CJD, put me on the list!

Keep the g forces realistic... this varies depending on whether you want a wood coaster or a steel coaster, and what type, but it would be safest to keep the g's between -1.2, 5, and 1.5 lat. However, vertical g's can go a bit higher on coasters with floors, and lateral g's can go higher on wood coasters.

I will be extremely lenient as far as the g's go, though, because I know how difficult it is to make tight fit coasters with realistic g's. Just don't get carried away with the high g's.

Only the track has to remain inside the boundary... the station building itself, along with supports and scenery, can be placed anywhere.

another question quickly, are we getting bonus points for having more rings then we need. For example, i'm going though 9 of the 11, except the needable 7 rings.

    question on tunnel testing woodies:
Are you going to change the track to steel when your going to tunneltest a woodie or does it has to pass with the wooden tunnels?

Ok, another question, yes i'm bugging you CJD [:D]

Can we change the texture on the rings. That white isn't going to fit with the ride. I won't change size or any other thing from the rings. Just add a nice texture to it [:)] Is that allowed?

and a small update on my track. Got now allready 6 rings [:D]. This is way too easy! Going for 9 of 11 rings. Hope to do all 11 rings [:D]
