[Un-official Contest}Cedar Point-New for 2007?

This is my first UN-official contest here, since some people might want a contest I made one. Here we go!

We are pleased to anounce the fact that we're goign to build a new coaster in 2007. All of our fans are speaking of this great fact.

We've made several very big and thrilling coasters over the past 6 years, but we've never given the fans the oppertunity to help us designing it. And this time we want to give the fans the change to say what ride we're going to build. We've got a enormous piece of land they can use and the can even build on the watter.(See appendix A).

The ride however must be as perfect as possible so that we don't have to redesign the winning entry. For that reason we've included this scheme of demands(see Appendix B)

We hope to see lots of entry's for this 'contest'. The winning design will be build on the availleble spot.

Appendix A



-You may only build in the purple area.
-The coaster can't be lower than 5 meters above the railroad(Light blue lines) and the road(red lines without cross).
-You may only go over the water twice.
-Please build the station close the the walkway(redline with crosses)

Appendix B

Scheme of demands

-The track style can be any kind of style
-The Track must remain between the purple lines
-The Minimun hight must be 30 meters
-The Minimum length is 1000 meters
-The ride must have a capacity of at least 1300 riders per hour. You may use any train configuration to achieve this number.
-The G forces must be kept between:
- 5.0 and -1.2 vertical
- 1.3 and -1.3 lateral
-acc may not be higher that 2 G's
-You are allowed to use minimun landscaping(hill can be made ,but not higher that 10 meters).You aren't allowed to change the coastline.
-You are allowed to use 3D Scenary, but most of the points will go to the coaster.
-All the entrys must be send in before may the 1th of May!
-Send the track to J.ruyven@chello.nl, please include a [CP-NF2007] tag.

Rating system:

Building Technic: Max 300 points

G-forces(no pumps, not to high, changes not to fast): Max 100 Point
Smoothness(is the track smooth, not to many bumps): Max 100 points
Safety(E-brake, clearence,supports able of holding it up): Max 100 Points

Ride Experience: Max 300 points

Wow factor(did the track surpise you, was it realy worth waiting for?): Max 100 points
Cool events(did the track have a nice First drop, did it have a never seen element): Max 100 points
Overall(did the track keep its speed, wan't it boring sometimes): Max 100 Points

Originality: Max 300 points

Element order(did the track follow a basic element order(like the one from the B&M's?)): Max 100 points
Supports style(did the supports look like they were in the right place, Dod they look like the're supports to look(Intamin Style, B&M style): Max 100 points
Environment(did you make things like waiting lines, custom stations, planted tree's): Max 50 points.
Trackstyle(did you make a cool ride with a original style, We have enough B&M and intamin here): Max 50 points

YAY! Finally, another intelligently designed un-official contest. The best part of these is that I'm not judging, so I get to compete. I haven't done a contest in over a year now. Thanks for running this, RCT-3.

The list is updated, on this moment we have 9 people, 4 form TP.nl, and 6 from WWS.com. On is both on TP and WWS.

@CDJ thanks, first i wanted to aks to make this official, but unofficial sound better. However I would have liked it more if it was official, than it would be on the frontpage!

BTW. watch out, CP has lots of coasters, and I want the coaster to be original, so another hypercoaster isn't a great idea!

I'll go ahead and say that you're gonna have plenty of time. Unless your competitor is somehow disqualified, you're not making it to the third round. Just go ahead and do this contest.

rct3-C, i've got a suggestion, why don't you narrow it down to one coaster type?

of all the contests i've joined, the "all-coaster" contest were badly judged because ppl make b&m and other make SLC's, it's really hard with rating and i suggest you just go with one style, so the coasters are more comparable
