-If you would like to be a member of this site, you must NOT be a current member of another coaster exchange site due to US copyright infringement laws."
What kind of nonsense is that? Talk about a bunch of BS. Copyright Infringement laws? Excuse me while I pick up that ass I just laughed off. Why are you even posting on Weeweeslap if you have a disclaimer like that on your site. Gee, let's all quit posting on this site so we can join your site that has absolutely no content yet. LOL
excluding me it is bcause i dont wanna get sued for having a coaster on my site that is already here. For instance, somebody posts a coaster at weeweeslap, and the same coaster by the same person is on my site. id get sued for copyright infringement.
You are quite confusing In all honesty, if you are not going to offer something different than an exhange then don't bother, you may ask why we created this site while others existed, simlpe, we provide other services other exchange sites simply don't bother with [:)] Anyway, good luck, do as you may, it is your responsibility to research the law, not mine.
You must have misunderstood me. What YOURE saying is that if an author posted a coaster here, and ALSO decided to send it TO ME, that would be a no-no? I dont think so! The author has permission to do whatever he/she wants with the coaster. He can post it on a hundred different sites if he wants to, its HIS CHOICE. Posting a coaster here does not mean that it can not be posted anywhere else, it does not give you total rights over that creation. I believe what youre thinking is that if someone posted a coaster here, and i took it WITHOUT author permission, then obviously thats not allowed. I knew that.
BTW, I doubt you can go anywhere as there are a lot of sites that are more advanced at this exchange thing. Plus you have a harsh limit of bandwidth... I think
As long as the user uploaded it at both sites it wouldn't be a violation. Also, I don't see how you will gain one member if they all abide by the main rule, since everyone who can read this thread is a member of this site.
If you ask for exlusivity, you won't get any posters. What I was making fun of is that a poster has the right to post where ever he or she feels like posting. A contest post may have restrictions, but I doubt it. I can post a ride anywhere I want to. The copy right issue is only an issue if someone steals a ride and then posts it as their own work. That is stealing and any responsible web master will ban the poster after the offense is proven. And in reality, can anyone of us really sue for copyright infringement? Not likely. First of all, we don't have a copyright for each ride (unless someone has more money than sense) and we all know how hard it is to keep peeps from stealing our rides. Only the webmasters and moderators can police that and Weeweeslap is one of the best in that area.
Sorry but that is the funniest website i have seen, there is nothing on it, litterally. LOL before you told this site about it you should of at least had like one of your tracks on it since your the author. but i guess thats ok.
I cannot believe I just read all of that ... I demand on a refund on the last 90 seconds of my life. Then, I want the 2 clicks I used up to actually look at that freakin waste of bandwidth he calls a site and then to close the window. Geesh, how is someone like that able to turn on a computer let alone be left unsupervised to create his own webpage on freewebs???
He wants us to e-mail our tracks to him, so he can upload them ... I mean, huh? Come on, this is just too rediculous to even be true.
shut up! its brand new! i know it isnt good, now! i bet when WeeWeeSlap made his site, it didnt have a thousand coasters, 739457 members, and perfect forums! neither did mine! it'll get better!
