OK, I have been working on a twisted steel coaster.
I have completed the track, and supports. Looks great.
Spent hours on making it as smooth as possible. Even used the construction kit.Made it ride GREAT!

Then, I put terreforming, have created a castle theme with 3-d objects made with object creator, has scenery, Everything.
My problem is know when I ride the coaster, Its now bumpy in alot of areas. I tried to correct it and still the same.

Do's adding alot of 3-d ojects, tereforming, and landscaping effect the coaster that much?
and if so, can it be corrected easy?

If you can help, I would appreciate it.

Well, im no expert...but I dont think 3-d objects and landscaping could affect it, unless you mistakenlenly, kept a node's highlighted then rode your coaster...happened to me plenty of times...

Neither am I but, Is it pumping or is the picture stop and go situation?

If it is a Stop and go than it is the computer and it cant keep up with the FPS cause of the 3D's- had same problem

either getting rid of the 3Ds or getting a new graphics card, or changing your texture settings.

Yeah I doubled mine and got a new graphics card, and my fps went from about 5-30 up to 90-98 on any track, so either of the two would be great for your FPS issues

it does cost some serious money though. around 100 bucks for the card, i dunno how much the gigs cost, cause mine came from my mom's old computer, but your probably looking at around 250 though.

Yes, keep the comp up to date, and don't use too many polygons in your 3ds. (And be sure to optimize and get rid of any polygon flickering)

Post your (what I call the) "big 3". (graphics card, proscessor, and memory) If you can run modern directX 9 games good enough to get by, then there should be no framerate problems in NL unless you've got too much stuff. (which means you should have around 512 RAM, at least 2.00 ghz proscessor, and a card that supports shaders) NL obviously doesn't need the shaders but those cards are faster.

Either way, just post your specs and what graphic settings your using. (be sure reflective water and antialiasing are turned off, those are the biggest culprits of framerate, and you may wish to use openGL 1.5 as it is usually quite a bi faster) As for 3ds, terraforming, and environments, IMO they are essential to originality to a coaster, a ride is bland and has no flavor without them.

Man, Now Im tripping!!!!
I decided to check the settings on my Nolimits and try some things.
Each time I changed the setting, I tried my coaster to see if any changes or improvments then keep notes then try something different.

I dont know why but I went to Advanced settings, and turned the Vertical sync from default to off. I tried my coaster and practicaly all the "stop and go problems were solved. Its now as smooth as it was before I did all the 3-d extra stuff.
Do's anyone know why this could of happened???

Vsync syncronizes the framerate to the monitors refresh rate. It should never be used for videos, but for gameplay, it prevents the image from tearing around. I usually keep it on since it looks better.
