I saw this topic on a another board and thought it was really interesting. What is the longest you've ever waited in line for a coaster? I've waited 2-1/2 for Millenium Force. I also waited about 2-1/2 hours for the Hersheypark Wildcat one Saturday in 1997. My record though is 4 hours in 1979 for that little coaster called the Beast at PKI. I was a whopping 6 years old and barely made the height limit.

I waited 4 1/2 hours for Top Thrill Dragster in 2003. It broke down twice while I was in line, so that's why it took so long.

220 minutes for Air on my first ride. And last time i went to Alton with school i queued for about 2 and a half hours for Rita, as it broke down 3 times while i was right near the station. Each time it was down for 15 mins or so.

Longer i can't really remember that i've ever waited... probably an 2 hours for el condor when it still was called walibi Flevo

For me it would be 1.5 hours for Big Thunder Mt. at EuroDisney. It was so long my parents though that something had happened to me.

the longst line I wated for was for splash moutian I wated 3.5 hours for splash moutain at disneyworld it was a new ride when I wated for over 3 hours for splash moutian and it boke down when I was in the line. I wated 2.5 hours for the tower of terror before they had fp. I wated for rock n roller coaster at wdw for 5 min becuse I had the fp if I din'nt have fp I whould have wated for 3.5 hours for the ride. I like how disney world has the fp becuse you don'nt have to wate in the long lines. Six flags great adventere has something semer to wdw fp but you have to pay for it. I wated 1hour and 20 mins for batman the ride becuse there was only one train running and then the ride opps put another train on the batman the ride it was worth the wate.

The Longest I waited was opening day at PCW and I only went on 3 rides the whole day and the longest I waited was 1 hour 30 mins for a damn togo standup which isnt all that bad and second was drop zone which was 1 hour and 15 mins then thunder run or sumthin like that for 1 hour. But im used to going to darien lake where Viper and Mind Eraser are walk ons and Superman and Boomerang are 15 minute waits.

When I took my first trip to IOA during Christmas holidays back in 1999/2000 I saw a nearly 6 hour line for Spiderman. And no, I did not get in line!
It was quite funny, while half the people in the park were waiting to ride Superman I was doing countless laps on Dueling Dragons which was a walkon.....I just wish I new about that stupid shortcut! [lol]

The longest I have actually waiting inline though would be either for Hulk@IOA or Vortex@PCW (when it first opened). I forget exactly how long I waited for hulk but it was about 2 hours. I waited for about the same amount for Vortex because I was waiting for front seat during the first weekend it opened.

I went to Six Flags NewEngland on monday, (the trip report will come later) i waited 2 and a half hours for Superman. They only had 1 train running because they were having mechanincal problems with the blue train!(IMO that story is complete BULL poop!) The train was just sitting there! and if i were the owner of that park, i would want guys working on the train to get it back up and running ASAP seeing as how it is the most popular ride in the park! now the 2 and a half hours i wated was the altime short for the day! IT was a rainy monday, who the hell would think of going to six flags to create a 4 hour wait for Superman!!!!! Mr. Six's Pandamonium (so not worth the wait) Had a 1 1/2 hour wait. Scream! had a 2 1 hour wait, and Batman: The Dark Night had a 15 min. wait!!! (10 times that day!)

Got you all beat (Though its nothing Im proud of)

6.5 hours for Dragster (and didnt get to ride)
Waited with a person who was waiting all year to ride and thats all they went for. We waited through 1 break down, 1 monster thunderstorm then 1 hour of trying to get the ride up. After the 6.5 hours in the station we were awarded a TTD exit pass and MF Exit pass for anytime that year. So, we at least got 2 rides out of it but still, long time.

At least I enjoy thunderstorms plus I got to see the inner workings of them getting the ride up and running from scratch.
