Old news this Im afraid but I've been busy. Over the winter, Alton Towers have tuned Rita to improve the capacity and reduce dispatch time by up to 15 seconds:

1 - The adjustable belts on the restraints have been changed to fixed length ones.

2 - More importantly, an extra anti-roll back device has been fitted. The magnetic brakes that pop up after launch to slow the train in case of rollback still allowed the train to go back into the station before it stops. IE a second train couldn't be brought into the station until the first had cleared the first hill.
To rectify this, 'stopping blocks' have been added to the first brake fins and an anti-rollback dog to the back of the train. So it now stops in front of the loading train.

Its so obvious! Until u want to let people off a rolled-back train which is now six ft in the air with no platform...

Anyways Tussauds have also added this device to Stealth at TP. Very good of them.

Also, beginning April 07 you will be able to buy a souvenir DVD of YOUR day at Alton Towers. Using radio wristbands, computers will keep track of your position within the park and when you are in view of any cameras, the footage will be stored for inclusion on the DVD.
